1. Eric Reid Safety LSU Pretty simple really, he is the best safety in the draft. He fills a huge hole that has been created by not drafting a starting caliber safety in the last 10 years along with going the aging veteran route. Instant upgrade and a starter from day one.
2A. Khaseem Greene LB Rutgers Greene is a flat out tackling machine. He has outstanding awareness and football instincts. He was the Big-East Defensive Player of the Year as a junior and followed that up with an outstanding senior year. Greene would step right in as a rookie and compete for the starting SAM spot. 2B. Eddy Lacy RB Alabama Lacy is a prototypical AFC North RB. He has a thick frame which will make him a feature back but also presents enough speed and soft hands to catch the ball out of the backfield. Lacy is everything we need in a RB. 3. Margus Hunt DE SMU Named the #1 athletic “freak” in college football by CBSSports.com. Hunt has only been playing football since 2009. The bottom line is that Hunt is raw but will turn out to be a poor-mans Justin Smith. Won gold medals in both the shot and the discus at the 2006 World Junior Championships in Beijing, becoming the first junior athlete ever to win a shot/discus gold medal double. The current world junior record holder in the discus throw. 4. Terry Hawthorne CB Illinois This man is a flat out athlete. Rated as the #1 WR prospect coming out of high school. He is the best athlete when he is on the field. He returns punts & kickoffs for Illinois. Bye-Bye Tate! 5. Tavarres King WR Georgia 6-1 200 lbs King will fight for the final WR spot on the roster or replace a guy like Whalen. Another Georgia Bulldog for us to groom. 6A. Michael Williams TE Alabama He is the blocking TE that we have been looking for. 6B. Dustin Hopkin Kicker FSU Hopkins is the best kicker I have seen in the last 3-4 drafts. Nugent is currently being out kicked by a kicker off the street. It is time for a long term solution. Last edited by Bengalsman1983; 01-04-2013 at 10:15 AM. |

I like it, but I would prefer a speed back.

Looks good.
Margus Hunt will be 26 in July, that might factor in somewhere. He may very well be available in the 3rd round. |

I do like it. I would replace King with M. Goodwin from Texas (beast).
I didn't know Hunt was 26...that does take away from his performance. As much as I like him he is pushing around guys much less developed than him. Thanks for not drafting a RB early. Not necessary. Jim Anderson has proven he can develop 4th round guys. |

This is the exact reason I had him going in the 3rd round and not the 2nd. The word will get out and he will slip.
