Had to deactivate Still to activate Sims.

They need Still and Thompson to pan out for the long term future.

DT is one of the most expensive positions to keep and they will need cheap alternatives to go with Geno who will get a monster deal, hopefully by the Bengals.

I'd take Sims over any of them... but I'd take Still over Peko any day of the week.

I see this as wanting to have more NTs than UTs, as you need to attack their run game.

If it was down to a very poor running team that has to be stopped in the air, I'd see Still activated.

Still is a better player than Wallace and should be in over him and could probably handle being used in the same way. Just my .02

So you run a 1 year rental like Gilberry out there over Still?

Lawson could play a few snaps at DE and I heard Still was playing some DE in practice.

IMO, they need to play to develop.

I'd say they made the right calls in who they started/scratched. Sims had and INT and Gilberry had a strip/forced fumble. Our D played lights out today

So far this year:

Fanene/Rucker > Still/Thompson


That's been the greatest difference between last year and this year. That and our offense just hasn't gotten going for the most part, but a lot of our offense last year was more because we had the sack-fumbles at critical times which made our offense that much better with good field position.
