Burger King has tonight admitted that it has been selling burgers and Whoppers containing horsemeat despite two weeks of denials.
The fast food chain, which has more than 500 UK outlets, had earlier given a series of ‘absolute assurances’ that its products were not involved.
However, new tests have revealed these guarantees were incorrect in a revelation that threatens to destroy the trust of customers.

The article claims only the UK is affected. Nevertheless, its an American corporation. If it can happen there, it can happen here.

I rarely eat at BK.In light of this, I will never eat there again.

True, but most of them have full disclosure. I expect to get what is advertized.

Ive never had horse meat.

Im extremely cautious eating chili at my dad's. He's always trying sneak some deer meat past me, lol.

Horse meat was sold in grocery stores years ago and I believe I heard that they are allowing to be sold again in stores.

I remember stories of my brothers and sisters making fun of the neighbors because they ate horse meat. So my parents got some and cooked it up and didn't tell them until they ate it....to this day my brother checks the trash to make sure the wrapper says that it is hamburger and not horse meat lol.

I thought the same thing for a long time. I think it depends on how it is made or killed? I love deer trail bologna (summer sausage, whatever) with the jalapeno cheese inside. Damn, that shizz is the bomb. I also had a deer burger one time that was amazing. I'm afraid to try deer steak again though because everyone who has ever made it for me, it tastes "gamey". But I have friends who swear they will change my mind about deer steak. The people who made it for me before were not hunters. Not sure if that would make a difference or not.

So that explains those marks on my burger! They weren't from the grill. They were from where the jockey was hitting it.
