Different era Elway was in, you didn't see as many 100 rated passers. I think I was thinking of Luck when I said 78, my apologies. Still an 80 QB rating is exactly a world beater. Dalton's numbers on paper were respectable, and that 4 game stretch that started with the giants he had was very impressive. Jury is out on Dalton, if he fails with a complete squad then we'll know.

I was at the game and it was great. AJ clearly won the Mvp with 3tds but of course it has to go to a player on the winning team.

The defense did a horrible job the first couple games of the season, and Dalton won those games.

This is a team sport, and Dalton is part of the team. That is a part of the viewing public. He had two bad playoff games. Okay, I understand that.

But you DO realize that, for example, Joe Flacco only had higher than 50% completion percentage once his first 5 playoff games?

People need to learn that young QBs take time. And Dalton has done well here.

Not as many 100 rating guys, that's true, but in the here and now, Dalton posted that 80 as a rookie. This year he posted an 87, which is very solid considering the limitations of the personnel around him.

That said, it's totally fair to say the jury is out on him....I can agree with that, especially when as you mention we're waiting to see what he does with a more complete offensive unit.

A lot of fans are claiming they already KNOW Dalton is garbage or that he's already reached his ceiling.....I find that ludicrous.

I agree, I'm very much a wait and see kind of fan. I think too many of us become prisoners of the moment, luckily Mike Brown for all his faults is a loyal guy. Which ironically, also happens to be one of his faults

When you see teams like the browns constantely hitting the reset button and not going anywhere its sometimes easy to forgive that fault lol.
