Geno and MJ were held the whole game against the Cowboys too, but if you noticed the Bengals had how many holding calls this week seven?

lol @ those saying replacement refs are better or that nfl refs are consistently terrible. Exactly what football refs are better that you would prefer?

Obviously they cannot be perfect, but most of these claims seem pretty ridiculous to me.
that is why we need a system that punishes refs that do a bad job. i proposed this in a thread a while back.

Make all personal fouls reviewable by the replay official just as all td's must be reviewed

At the end of every game the league will review all games and grade every official. If a ref gets graded a d or lower he can not take part in any game until he has taken a refresher course on the rules which caused him to have a poor grade. Also any official that has a c grade in any 2 out of 3 games must do the same.

Any official that deliberately misses a call is fined his game check for that game and must also take a refresher course.

Any official graded with an f or having 3 D's in a season will be banned for the remainder of the year and must take the entire nfl officiating course during the off season.

Any official having an average grade of c or lower is not eligible to officiate any postseason games.

While it might seem unfair to take money away from the officials they are supposed to abide by the rules of the game just as players are. Not calling a blatant penalty is worse than a player getting fined for excessive celebration.

The only way games in this league will ever be called correctly and fairly will be if the refs are held accountable for their actions or non actions.

Agreed. That was pure BS and the ref was looking right at it. He was all over him while the ball was still in the air in the end zone.

BS.

He wasn't absent. He played well for a guy who was doubtful to even play. He gave them a few minutes in the rotation.

I thought the same thing on the Green non catch, those calls go against us 90% of the time.

I was wondering about the two blind side blocks that were called personal fouls on the punt return, they looked like good AFC North blocks the kind Pitt and Baltimore would lay on us at the start of every game.

Our D held it's frigging ground tonight. We hadn't been getting alot of turnovers before tonight. Maybe now they'll start coming in droves.

It was also promising to see one of our CBs actually catch an INT. All that good coaching finally paid off.
My X-Flies opinion on the lack of holding calls: Look at the empty seats in the stadium. Up 10-0 in the first 5 min? They are probably concerned about TV viewership. It just seems like the NFL hates blowouts and tries to help the team that is down, especially in primetime games at home. I think the Colts might actually replace the steelers as the NFL Official's darlings (well, maybe not replace). Watching the Colts get away with pick plays, pushoffs, holding, etc down the stretch of games they are trailing. I used to like the Colts before they were competing for the same playoff spot. But the STORY: Possible matchup against Manning in the playoffs. Chuck Pagano's battle with Cancer, Andrew Luck is a rising star....ditto the calls for the Redskins and RGIII.

The league wants an 18 game season and expanded playoffs for money. We know that. I think they also really want to keep certain teams in it, and certain game situations like last night, to maintain viewership. Call me crazy, but as I watch some of these games on replay, coaches cut, etc. The refs are clearly biased in many different situations.

Yup I was at Bw3s and was screaming every other play about it and people thought I was crazy. Then finally that long haired embred **** held him so bad they had to call it. But the others were VERY obvious as well.

Exactly...this is why I really didn't care if the games were called by replacement refs or real ref....THEY BOTH STINK!!
