Could Whitworth possibly face a suspension after the brawl?

I like to see the captain of the O-line stick up for his QB but, not at the expense of missing game time.

Just wondering what the rules are, could Whitworth be in trouble?

I doubt it, it didn't look like he threw any punches or anything. Especially, after that idiot threw Dalton to the ground after the whistle blew 10 times...

The rules are mostly made up by Goodell as he goes, so who knows. If Goodell see's fit, like maybe he's in a bad mood that day or something, he might suspend Whitworth.

Yeah but he is in tremendous standing with the league respect wise, and he's our player rep, Not something he's known for and I can't think of another offense of this kind. I bet its 10-15k fine and probation.

While anything is possible, I'd say Houston would have a better chance.

Whitworth just ran up to him, Houston started throwing body shots, then Whitworth grabbed him.

He has never been in trouble ever. I seriously doubt he will get a suspension. He will however get a nice big fat fine.

Whit did what he should have done lost time or not. That is why we have Collins. Whit will get a fine and that will be it.

Kelly could get suspended for coming off the bench.

Dunlap did not get ejected for participation in the brawl. He was more trying to pull people apart. Kelly was in the thick of it.

It was great to see him come to Andy's rescue. That is what we want a leader of the O-line to do!

It will be appealed if he does get a game. Refs let that get out of control with previous bad calls leading up to it. Whit was sticking up for Andy, that speaks volumes for Whit's loyalty and leadership. You don't mess with his QB.

Isn't he also our NFL player rep?

I have seen the video several times. At what point was Houston beaten up badly?
Also notice the ref's were right there after the tackle, where was the flags?
Maybe it was not a cheap shot. I am still waiting for the league to call it a cheap shot since a bunch of ref's were right there and never threw a flag.
