In terms of hype where do these plaoffs ran compared to 05,09,11?

Personally I havn't been this hyped for a Bengals game since the 2005 playoff game against Pittsburgh. After winning 7 out of last 8 game and a chance to get revenge over the Texans for last year I am super hyped for this Saturday.

This. I thought 05 was the year to win it all. This team has not given me quite that same feeling, but close. Last year and 09 I was happy, but realized it was going to be ugly.

05 was our first playoff game in a gazillion years and we had a legit shot at something great. That one was special.

Second most hyped....other than 2005. I knew that the 2009 and 2011 teams were gonna lose. 2005 on the other hand, I was sure they would go farther. Turns out I was wrong, but that was still a hell of a team. I hate when people say this, but I'm going to say it myself.....I Palmer hadn't gotten his knee wrecked, that game could have turned out much differently. I feel that this team is damned good though....and this game WILL be a win.

In 2009 and 2011 I felt we would get bounced out early.

In 2005 I had high hopes. I have already went on record saying that team was the best all around I have seen here and our offense and defense were perfect compliments to each other.

This team I feel can get the playoff win monkey off of Marvin's back but I still have doubts about our offense's firepower and the weak spot of our defense (behind the SLB and in front of the strong safety).

i voted 2nd most hyped game, the first being the game against the Jets, where everyone was saying that the team tanked against the Jets to play them the following week, and to not show much, then they went out and laid a giant *** egg

Can't top '05. It had been too long, and that was the most talented Bengals team to not win a playoff game since 1982.

'12 is quite high. Our expectations are different. No one seems content to just get the berth. A win is expected. And we must avenge last year's debacle. So yeah, this one is hyped up high.

In '09 I had zero honest expectations. We slid into the playoffs. Team was on total decline since Henry left. After effectively winning the division vs Pitt, Cincy didn't beat anyone who had more than THREE wins--and those games were close, too. I went to the last three home games hoping to see the offense click and pitch a blowout. Nope. Couldn't burn Cleveland, KC, or Detroit. I knew we were toast vs the Jets. We had no passing game at that point which was also hurting the run game.

In '11 I expected much better vs Houston in the WC round. I thought we could win that game, but did not expect anything further.

If you ask me, that egg was laid by a couple guys. If CP could've completed a few passes and Shank could've kicked a FG, it might have been altogether different. Ced was an absolute best that day. All he needed was a little help.

1. '05 first playoff appearance in forever.

2. '11 rookie QB and WR lead a team that was supposed to be bad to playoffs

3. '09 4-11-1 team bounces back and sweeps division. Fans expect a deep playoff run.

4. '12 Fans expected a playoff berth and the Bengals delivered. Team had to go 7-1 to end the season but they delivered.

Well, I only joined up yesterday....and since then I haven't said anything positive about the team. I used to be a Steelers fan....but I got some dental work done and found a woman that didn't look like a meth addict, so I figured I was in the wrong fan base. Hopefully the Bengals welcome me!
