I'm not 100% sure if I've ever beaten Battletoads without using warps/emulator save states. I played that game a ridiculous amount when I was a lot younger, so I imagine I have, but I also think that such an acheivement would be much clearer in my memory.

I was thinking the same thing this morning as I was (finally) playing Gears of War 3. The game, even on Hardcore (still don't know why you can't start on insane) is incredibly easy. Even when you get killed.....you don't.....

Gaming was in its prime in 2000/2001, when the Dreamcast, PS2, GC had perfected 3D.

The GOLDEN AGE of gaming was in the 90's.

a bad game in 3d with terrible story telling is still a bad game

there were so many better 16/32 bit games

just because a game looks pretty doesnt mean its good

Agreed. Gaming was in it's best stage in the mid to late eighties and the early nineties. Not saying modern games aren't good as well, but the old stuff is amazing.
