Why is here we talk about Dalton only having Green and Gresham, but we can't consider anything about them being shorthanded last year, and breaking in a young Kyle Rudolph as well.

I don't mean to single you out, and I'm sorry if it seems that way. But I see this crap on here all to often. People on here want all of these lines of thinking attached to evaluating our club, but they never want to actually use them on another. People here think we deserve more credit, but they'll just as quickly dismiss another equally good team.

Put it this way, you're saying he made a bad decision because he went to a young 10-6 ballclub. Even though his signing alone makes them better, he still went to someone that has no chance. Well, news flash, both the Ravens and Steelers have been just as consistent as the Packers, if not more so. The Ravens just won it all. Now imagine if a big player just signed here and you read someone shat all over your team only because of their division, while never even bothering to look at the makeup of the team.

You can't rip the Vikings, and then turn around praise the Bengals. They're practically the same type of team going into the year. Except one of them just got Greg Jennings.
The guy left Aaron Rodgers to go catch passes from Christian Ponder. You tell me how that is not a huge drop off. If a guy left Tom Brady to catch passes from AD, I'd say the same thing. Don't remember ripping the Vikings or turning around and doing anything and I know for a fact I didn't even mention the Bengals.

You want to use my post while interjecting things I never even said to make a general point to the whole forum, knock yourself out.

And I stand by what I said, the Vikings will still be looking up at the Pack. The Pack was the better team last year and they will be this year because there's only one Aaron Rodgers and he's a Packer. They'll come up with a semblance of a running game and bolster their D and be a force again this year.

Yea, Ponder will do better with more to throw to, I think he's all right. Bengals and Vikes aren't the same type of team tho. They've got a better defense, they've got the best RB in the game.

They've got Jennings now, which they desperately needed, but we already had AJ, who is better.

Fwiw, I didn't mean type, as in scheme or personnel, I just meant in the type of team in terms of where they're at right now. Two younger teams trying to take that next step. Both 10-6, both have 3rd year QB, and both in tougher divisions.

You said he was an idiot and that this signing is proof some players care about is money. You pretty much guaranteed that he'd lose to the Packers twice, and they'd finish behind them.

How is it fair to write the Vikings off so quick, but not the Bengals? Why would he only have to care about money to play there but if someone asked you, you'd say they have an opportunity to win here? What's difference? I don't get it.

Man you're a little vag at times. You said they basically ****, and called the dude a moron and greedy. Then you'll run around and say how awesome we are. It's bogus. You couldn't be more biased.

Think whatever you want. I'm just pointing out the obvious here. You're a doucher for saying that crap.

I never thought about it from that angle but you're right. And they did beat them the last game of the season last year, so its not like they're hopelessly outmatched. Jennings helps them and helps himself even though he is downgrading QB wise.

Mikey would have let Harvin walk, not signed Jennings, and replace the guy with a 2nd round receiver who he could have drafted in the 6th round.

Vikings get a 1st round pick and lose nothing.

Just like he let Palmer and Chad walk without getting anything back

I agree as well. Vikings have Peterson who we all agree is just plain phenomenal. Jennings is a huge improvement over anything they had the second half of the year. Throw in two first round draft choices and that could be a pretty solid team again next year. However, Packers are going to be tough to knock off but certainly not impossible.

Why so passionate about what the Vikings are doing? Who cares? You'll have your chance to cheer for them this year against Cincy.

If anything, Brown would have kept Harvin on the roster to show him that he wasn't going to trade him until an overwhelming trade appeared.

Look, dude, stop putting words in my mouth. Pretty lame way to conduct a conversation if you ask me. But if lame is all you got, guess you have to go with it. Who the hell are you to say what I will say or what I would say? I've tried to be a gentleman with you but you just won't have it and now you're calling me names? True colors will always come out, won't they? If you mattered enough to me to bother with, I'd put you in your place. But then again, I think the book is already out on you.

I've looked and I can't find the "Apologize to a stranger for a comment about a Viking on a Bengals message board" section. Maybe I'll just use a Get Well card for the deep wound I've obviously caused Greg Jennings.

Default Greg Jennings is a Viking

Crazy. They lose a talented receiver so what do they do? They go out and get a talented receiver!

Now, instead of Percy Harvin, a headcase in more ways than one, they've got Greg Jennings AND two extra picks in the top 3 rounds.

Don't worry though, he'll flop in Minn. All big name FAs do.
