Seriously....This loss is a type of loss that reminds me of down the stretch in 2006. Remember that? I do.....And this game felt like that. I could not believe SD was beating the Steelers and I cannot believe that the coaches thought not having their hot RB not touch the ball for 12 minutes...would be a good thing to do.

Can't pin it all on the offense. I blame our mediocre record on the fact that we still have too many holes on this team:

- We needed a vet stop-gap WR before the season and didn't get one.

- We needed another RB and didn't draft one. Then we waited too long to start using Peerman, then we didn't sign a speed back once Peerman got hurt.

- We stuck with Rey at Mike.

- We tried to roll with Mays as our starter at SS which was a big mistake.

I think the issues have more to do with personnel and poor talent evaluation than the coaching itself. We went into the season thinking Armon Binns could be our starting wr, and let him start several games before our staff finally realized he couldn't cut it. Now Binns is on the street. What does that say about our talent evaluators?

We may not make the playoffs this year, but I will tell you all one thing: at least we have a chance this late in the season. We should have beat the cowboys. But, we still control our destiny, which can't be said for most of the teams in the NFL. As a Bengals fan, I'm usually waiting for baseball to start up by this time of year.
