Did you ever ask yourself how the 20+ teams who have less than $15m in cap space manage to sign their their rookies, and have injuries, and still managed to be under the cap? According to his numbers... every year the Bengals never have money to do anything.. yet they regularly finish the season with the most cap space unspent in the league. Amazing how that works. They could have a $300m cap, and his numbers still would prove that the Bengals don't have enough space to sign everyone, or any big name from the outside.

the other teams cheat........
Flacco gets paid 21 mil next year but only 15 of it counts?
But we have plenty of cap room.. Just not plenty of cap room to go overpaying to many veterans. We have 22 free agents... To either bring back or replace (granted we dont need all of them due to Draft picks and Ps players etc.) But thats different than needing 1 or 2 free agents.
Question: Do you think the recent practice of short term deals like 1 or 2 years by our FO is helping to get the most out of our players? knowning they will have a shot a free agency sooner than later? or just a way to fill gaps till a better solution comes along. (not saying anyone recently receiving a 1 year deal should be locked up long term... But or castaway D plays pretty well.. Of course they are mostly cast-aside former 1st rounders lol.)
