Let him carry until he gets hurt, maybe he will toughen up, and not get hurt, it has to be rough getting the ball once or twice every game.

I'm in this camp. Run him until he gets hurt and if he doesn't get hurt, keep running him.

BJGE cant get into a rhythm with 20 touches a game so giving 10 of those to someone else who has the potential to break a 20+ yard run or longer is a win win if you ask me. I just think what they are doing right now is not working, if Peerman can add a spark (he has ran hard every chance he has received) then use him. Anyone can play ST. Oh and he seemed to run pretty well between the tackles on the TD in the Steelers game.... Perhaps I am not a very good judge of talent, but the kid seems to play well when he gets a chance. RBBC keeps everyone's legs fresh thus increasing the chance of gaining yards, splitting touches between 3 backs is the way it should be with what the Bengals have. It should help the entire offense if you ask me. Some semi threat of a running game will improve this team substantially.

I never said I was opposed to taking carries away from GE. In fact, I said I was in favor of feeding the hot hand the second half of the game. Please actually read my post before just deciding what it says and responding.

In addition, Leonard and Peerman have artificially inflated number by being the third down and subs when GE needs a breather. Those backs usually have a higher YPC than the starter. Additionally, one good run does not a good inside runner make. Recall Peerman being sttuffed on several 3rd/4th and short when running inside. He may have improved this season, but the sample size is far too small and the pool tainted by being a breather/3rd down guy.

Believing anyone can play special teams is wrong. It takes a certain mindset and level of ability. If you don't know this, then that is a tell of how little you know about the game.

I am all for giving Peerman a more extended look, but believe Leonard is more deserving in everything he's done for the team.

I read back through what i wrote and can see where it came off as being a smart arse, that was not my intent. I just think something needs to be fixed in the running game, and if giving more carries to more backs keeps people fresh then perhaps they should try it. Everyone knows what they are doing now is not working. Splitting the carries between 3 backs would essentially make each back a spell back and could raise all YPC averages which would help out the passing game substantially. As far as not knowing much about the game, I know quite a bit, and with the rule changes on special teams it is not as important of an area as it once was. Yes, they gave up a return TD in the Broncos game, but how many TD's have they left out there because they simply cannot run the ball? What I was saying is that players on an NFL roster are competent enough athletes to play teams, but Peerman has the potential to really help the offense so he should be used there to see what happens. If he does not make a difference after a game or two simply go back to the way it was. It never hurts to attempt to fix something that isnt working. If this team can somehow get a hint of a running game going they could really get on a roll. If you ask me that is what is holding them back. Sustaining drives helps the entire team, defense gets more rest, passing game opens up and the Bengals score more points. Of course that is just my opinion, nothing more nothing less.

Yes he should be the 1st down back and where the hell is peerman?

BJGE = Short yardage situations.

Leonard is not that impressive as a rb. He and Scott both need to be cut and replaced.

Let me clarify, I don't believe Leonard is the future. I do believe he is this teams current best option to start.

This should be the future of the Bengals RB situation. Andre Ellington, Clemson.

When they hurry up offence and march down the field with Leonard in the game then take him out and have kick a field goal it just doesnt make sense. He was Ray Rice's mentor, He was Thunder not Lightening, he is one of us!!! If he is in the middle of his career some one better decide to do something with him soon.
