This is exactly what im doing. Im ditching Verizon when my contract is up in March and getting the Nexus and going prepaid. 30 bucks a month for unlimited text, data, and talk. Boom.

Yup...I would leave Verizon if it wasn't for the fact that I get 4g nearly the entire trip from Charleston SC to Pittsburgh. West Virginia is a technological vacuum.

Its straight talk which uses ATT Network. Im willing to give up a little 4G coverage in order to save 60 bucks a month.

The iPhone did not come out with NFC (Near Field Communication). This lets you transfer files, photos, or even playlists just by being near another device with that feature. Seen the S3 ads where they transfer photos/videos by tapping phones? This is now being used to pay tabs at Starbucks and others will surely follow. I am guessing the iPhone 5s will be out soon. Lmao. As I stated I was certain Apple would have even newer things in their phone (i5) but they did not have anything new and exciting. Here is a nice article from one of their biggest supporters in the past. The Wall Street Journal. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000...214727774.html Quote:

Quick question Cloe, if I got the S3, would I be better of going to say Walmart and getting their $98 deal with upgrade or am I better off actually going into my carriers store?

Launchers are just plain crap. Nobody will ever be able to tell me they do not affect the performance of the phone. As far as apps are concerned Google has more free CRAP. That's just it, FREE CRAP. Beware the viruses and all the ads added for all your free stuff. The more popular Apps hit the iPhone first. The reason behind this is that developers only need to worry about whether the App will work on the iPhone whereas developers of Android Apps need to ensure it works on a Samsung, Motorola, Pantech, LG, HTC...etc, etc. Plus with a simple jailbreak I can do about anything on my iPhone you can do in terms of customization. BTW widgets are great when you first get your phone but I chose not to have all that live personal information running on the screen eating my battery. As bad as apple maps have been they too have a free turn by turn service that is going to get better as their accuracy improves. Face lock is just a gimmick. iPhone visual voicemail is better than any app for the android. Not to mention the icloud services, photo streams, and iMessage are all things the iPhone does really well along with FaceTime. I will state however that going from an iPhone to the Note to the S3 and to the iPhone 5 there are a few things I miss about the android. Like having the options to adjust the brightness, wifi, Bluetooth without having to open the settings. Also I liked having a dedicated back button and settings/menu button for whatever I was working on. For me all the extras the S3 had were neat, I just didn't use them enough to ever miss them. The touch responsiveness of the iPhone screen is so much more accurate in my opinion. Web Browsing is a much better experience and my iPhone 5 does everything that I want to do with a phone. I have yet to say I wish this phone could..... There really is a reason why on iPhone 5 release day there's a line out the door and on S3 release day nobody's waiting. Now my best friend and old Air Force Supervisor made the change and swears by it but he is a techie freak. So to each their own. |

The thing is why would apple ever blow up the best selling phone ever? People buy it and like it for what it is. You know what you are getting. If you want something different go for the android. Little by little Apple adds to the iPhone and its enough change to be going in the right direction but not enough to turn people off on the reason they bought it in the first place.
Not everybody likes a big 4.8" or 5.5" screen. |
