Maybe we'll learn more about Jones' spinal issues before the draft, but I'm skeptical. Unless he has some kind of degenerative condition, then I'd roll with him without thinking twice.

I remember back 2010 when we snagged Gresham. He and Gronkowski were the top 2 TEs and everyone was worried about a back problem that Gronk had dealt with thoughout his college career. He missed the entire 2009 season and it was speculated that he had the suffered from the same spinal injury that ended Michael Irvin's career. In retrospect, it looks like his back was good enough for him to be the best tight end in the game, not to mention one of the best overall weapons period.

I'm not saying injuries should be overlooked. I'm just apprehensive about writing a guy off when he obviously has a ton of talent.
Jones problem isnt really an injury its a condition. Remember I am not a medical physician but from what I understand Spinal Stenosis is a narrowing of the spinal canal which forces it to press on nerves in the back. If he were to lead with his helmet and hit to hard one time he could be paralyzed for life.

2010 TE draft class makes me sick to look at don't know about anyone else.

I think we were hurt by Rey's lack of speed and play recogniton. Burfict may not be a speedster, but he can diagnose plays. I want him in the middle and I want to see speed on the outsides.

Thinking in terms of the Bengals' needs, how would you rank your top 3 choices for our 2013 first round pick.

I think I'd roll with
  1. Patterson, Cordarrelle WR Tennessee
  2. Brown, Arthur ILB Kansas St.
  3. Ansah, Ezekiel DE BYU
Need, smeed. If any top 5 or 10 guy falls, you take them. Warmack might be the most dominant player in the draft. If he is there, you take him and move Boling to OC and laugh all the way to the playoffs.

Question, why is Cordarelle rated so high when his stats aren't that great?

His ceiling and natural talent is higher than his receiving stats show. He had I think about 1500 all purpose yards total but displayed great hands and ability to get yards after catch. Still needs to work on his route running to truly separate himself from Allen and Williams.
