Isn't Rey an alcoholic? I thought he was in AA after getting a DUI and admitting he's had a drinking problem for years?

I certainly hope he wasn't drinking when you met him or the next time we see him it won't be in a football uniform but on Celebrity Rehab with Dr Drew!

Tell me about it, '74! Rey Maualuga was a terrific player at USC, we all agree, but the forgotten part of the equation is that Pete Carroll can squeeze crude oil out of sand. Carroll can take no-name players and turn them into world-beaters like he's doing in Seattle and he did that at USC. I really don't think the Cincinnati coaches have the ability to take a good player at any position and make him great.

Anyway, an introverted personality is not suited for an AFC North middle linebacker. A middle linebacker has to be a combination of mentor, motivator, and havoc-wreaking beast and Rey isn't any of these things. Good middle linebackers like Brian Urlacher and Ray Lewis are the ultimate extroverts whose ability to lead a defense is unquestioned.

Couldn't agree more ! Our coaches have no idea of how to capitalize on what we have. They don't have a clue how to scheme to our players strengths. They don't know how to motivate. And they're to egotistical to admit when they're wrong.

I think his production at USC was more a product of Clay Mathews and Brian Cushing being beside him than anything else.

Me neither. Outside of JJ, tell me who has played better at corner for us in the past ten years.
