Tell me about it, '74! Rey Maualuga was a terrific player at USC, we all agree, but the forgotten part of the equation is that Pete Carroll can squeeze crude oil out of sand. Carroll can take no-name players and turn them into world-beaters like he's doing in Seattle and he did that at USC. I really don't think the Cincinnati coaches have the ability to take a good player at any position and make him great.

Good middle linebackers like Brian Urlacher and Ray Lewis are the ultimate extroverts whose ability to lead a defense is unquestioned.

Couldn't agree more ! Our coaches have no idea of how to capitalize on what we have. They don't have a clue how to scheme to our players strengths. They don't know how to motivate. And they're to egotistical to admit when they're wrong.

I think his production at USC was more a product of Clay Mathews and Brian Cushing being beside him than anything else.
