If the Bengals cut Wharton, his pro-rated signing bonus impact will be $2.1 million. IMO, the cost differential ($1.65 millino) is worthwhile to have some depth (aka insurance) on the oline.

Wharton received $4 million this year, $3.175 million in signing bonus and 825k in salary. There is no pro-rated signing bonus.
