I understand where your coming from CHP and the offense is lacking some talent. However I and I'm guessing this franchise is a little scared of by the FA WR. I can't remember the last FA WR that came here and made a big impact on the field. Yes I know TO had a good year stats wise but that was a disaster. Had Gruden not been totally out coached this year things might have looked a lot different. Also not starting Sanu from day one was a mistake. Wallace is going to bank, I am for signing our guys and also building a dominate run game. Andy Levitre is a FA and if they could get him in here somehow do it, draft the WIS center, Resign Andre, get a good FB if Pressly is still hurt, a blocking TE, and two good RB's. I really hope if Jay stays he realizes the only way he and Andy will be successful is behind a solid run game and accurate passing game. IMO Wallace will sign for big money somewhere and fizzle out like many "big name FA's". |

TDs aside, sadly enough Binns would have projected out to have a better full season than Sanu. Seriously, no lie. Sanu coming back is not the answer.

Eric Ried, S 37. Jamar Taylor, CB 53. Travis Frederick, C 84. Jamie Collins, OLB 115. Montee Ball, RB Man... FA has really made me edit the crap out of my Wishlist/Draft... and not really for the better. |

You know we seem to be a team that makes excuses for not putting the better players on the field. White and Sanu looked more prepared as rookies to start then Binns and Tate ever did. I'm with you though too, because Sanu didn't put up great stats. However he scored TD's when we needed them and I will take a guy oppisite AJ that has 600 yards and 10 TD's. Overpaying for Mike Wallace is not the answer either IMO. |

Sanu probably wasn't capable of starting effectively from day one. Those 5 games when he had catches this season only projects out to a full season of 51 catches, 496 yards... Binns 5 games with catches project out to a full season of 57 catches, 672 yards.... the only reason people think Sanu was so amazing was because he caught 4 TDs in those 5 games.. 3 against the worst (KC) and third worst (OAK) teams in the NFL.
TDs aside, sadly enough Binns would have projected out to have a better full season than Sanu. Seriously, no lie. Sanu coming back is not the answer. Why TD's aside? Sanu projects out to over 12 TD's, and Binns much lower. Isn't that, along with 1st downs and catch % the most important things a WR can contribute? Consider the catch to target ratio, with Binns at 60% and Sanu at 64%. Then the 1st down conversions, Binns achieving one every 4.1 targets and Sanu one every 2.5 targets, and the stark difference is even more clear. Projects out to 20.4 1st downs by Sanu and 13.8 for Binns, with Binns needing 95 targets for all the stats, and Sanu only 80. Just saying...

guess you didnt see that giants gm when wallace turned a 5 yard slant to a 60 yrd touchdown or any other big play ability he provides on a consistent basis. sure he had a down year and he knows he wont get huge money because of holding out n missing valuable reps in a new offence which resulted n avg stats which still trumps our numb 2 wr stats, n dnt forget his dynamic speed to turn a short gn into a huge play but he is still a playmaking wr with a track record for dynamic playmaking ability which the bengals dont hv yet and that num 1, num 2 wr stuff is played out. teams are now having 2 number 1 wr's lining up together with no issues. falcons, dallas, giants eagles, bucs, and so on and wallace is not a diva. divas cause problems wallace has never dne that, he only held out. i would go after bowe as well. hartline no unless he's cheap only 1 good yr so far and he has no dynamic ability just a possession wr which is exactly what we hv n sanu n hes younger n on contract 4 3 mr yrs, so no thnks on hartline

Face it there are very few Megatron's or AJ's out there. It took Ocho Cinco 3 years TJ almost 4 to come into themselves as players. Would I take Mike Wallace if he came here? Oh Hell yes! Greg Jennings-certainly! But aside from the pipe dreams, we will either build through the draft or a middle Free Agent.
Failing that I think we have bigger problems with a line not built to pass protect and a QB with questionable decision making skills.

for all those wanting to sign a free agent thats not one of our own, where the hell ya gonna get the money. Like i just said in the salary cap thread, if u resign andre, mj, and get geno done, everything else goes to resigning our own dudes and draft picks.

I think we should be fine with Sanu and with Lavasier Tuinei:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=__6dwDilIl4 With him on the other side of AJ, I think our offense could be something to reckon with. |

Mike Wallace does one thing, run past dbs and catch the long ball. You think Dalton will hit him in stride? I bet he doesn't

You do realize that Big Ben was worse on long balls than Andy Dalton this year, right? Mike Wallace still had over 800 yards receiving and has averaged over 1000 yards per season. It's beyong ridiculous to suggest that all that came on deep completions. Just because Wallace is known for his speed doesn't mean that's all he can do.
