After I made the mock, I noticed that I double dipped repeatedly.
Alex Okafor DE 6'4½" 265 Texas – All this team needs to be contenders, are football players. Not the fastest dude, the tallest dude, the one that jumps the highest. Just football players. At 4-3 DE, Montgomery and Ansah may have higher ceilings, but the definitely have lower floors. Give me Alex Okafor. He is also a team captain. Stats: 88 Solo, 62 Ast, 34 TFL, 23 Sk, 4 PD, 7 FF http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6TTs4tJbtvg Kenny Vaccaro S 6'0½" 218 Texas – Team Captain, Team MVP. He is capable of playing either Free or Strong Safety. He has what it takes to give direction to the DBs. Stats: 158 Solo, 73 Ast, 14 TFL, 2 Sk, 5 Int, 24 PD, 4 FF http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JN5BZ6f0FzM ![]() Ed Lacy * RB 5'10" 220 Alabama – One of the best 3 down backs in the draft. He had a great BCS bowl game, but for now, he is still a 2nd rounder. He takes over as the primary running back with BJGE backing him up. Stats: 355 Att, 2402 Yds, 6.8 Avg, 30 TD --- 35 Rec, 338 Yds, 9.7 Avg, 2 TD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZdgeBP3LgU ![]() Cobi Hamilton WR 6'3" 209 Arkansas – we need another physical possession receiver; clearly evident when Sanu went down. 3rd team All-American out of the SEC. Stats: 175 Rec, 2854 Yds, 16.3 Avg, 18 TD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=86R-jzlN4B0 Jelani Jenkins * OLB 6'0" 230 Florida – Move Burfict to the middle, and find an athletic OLB with cover skills for WILL. Jenkins fits the mold. Stats: 109 Solo, 73 Ast, 16.5 TFL, 6 Sk, 3 Int, 10 PD, 1 FF http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nsyzuBgt7wI ![]() Johnathan Franklin RB 5'10" 205 UCLA – Change of pace back that we desperately need. Stats: 788 Att, 4403 Yds, 5.6 Avg, 31 TD --- 58 Rec, 517 Yds, 8.9 Avg, 3 TD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kqu06Tj9dTw ![]() Xavier Nixon OT 6'5" 314 Florida – Developmental OT, Roland replacement. High upside after an injury filled career. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MzDuiWIBiRw ![]() Michael Williams TE 6'6" 270 Alabama – blocking TE with decent hands for a real 3 TE set. Stats: 51 Rec, 503 Yds, 9.9 Avg, 7 TD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTY4VY846g0 ![]()

Yeah no way Lacy is their at 2B. I'm honestly beginning to think if we don't take him in the 1st we won't get him.

If you want Lacy if you will need to settle for one of the 2nd tier safeties at 2b.

You can probably get Jefferson,Swearinger, and S Williams all in the 3rd so no big deal.

I think its either going to be Okafor or Montgomery who will be this years faller sort of like Courtney Upshaw.

Agreed. If one of them, its probably Montgomery.

Only thing I'd nitpick is the fact that our worst positional grouping isn't addressed until the 4th. Besides, Jelani's a great talent, but the production just wasn't there when he was at Florida.
Love the players though. Might have to nix one (preferably WR). We could get a FA WR and have that addressed; the other positions, I'd prefer not to go that route.

I like the mock for the most part.
As others have said, I doubt Lacy falls to 2B, considering his dominating performance in the national championship against the #1 rated defense (though they didn't play like it). But hey, if he did, no brainer to take him. Stud. Question: Who plays SAM? Lawson was our worst LB this year IMO, and I see you only mentioned moving Burfict to MIKE and Jenkins takes over at WILL. |

It is about time to start doing the whole 53 man roster to reduce confusion. If we can get just one quality FA this year (in addition to our own) we can easily have a rocking team. Interior lineman are the cheapest. LB/S/RB are the biggest needs. WR makes a lot of sense because they take time to develop and we are so young at the position. Finally on Lacy; a month ago, he was a 3rd rounder. The BCS title game should improve his stock, but his body of work is what matters the most. He can further help / hurt himself in a marginal manner with his measurables at the combine. If Lacy goes in the 1st, I would think it has more to do with a shallow class.

If we re-sign Howard, may as well put him back at the position that he has been with us, which is WILL. Greene may be able to play SAM. No need to have to teach two linebackers tons of new plays.

Love the first 3, but no way do they last...you MIGHT be able to get 2 of them but not all of them. If you are lucky you MIGHT land Okafor and Lacy, but even thats doubtful
