I absolutely hate and despise the Steelers, but I have to agree with you on that. It's not just that he could be out for the season, the dude could die. He really shouldn't be playing the rest of the year just to make sure it's healed. It all depends on his pain tolerance, his rib issue has been cleared by Dr's.

Mortensen stated doctors have determined Roethlisberger's rib has healed to the point where further damage isn't a risk.

Bengals, Steelers win out, Ravens lose out - Impossible. Bengals play the Steelers in a few weeks.

Knock on wood and all, but that's how it is.

That would leave the Steelers and the Bengals scrambling for the last wild card behind Indianapolis. It would likely be decided by that matchup between the two in week 16 in Pittsburgh. With Roethlisberger back, there's no way they don't sneak into the playoffs. They'll likely be traveling to New England for that WC game.

A loss and a Bengals win would still leave the division at

Ravens 9-3 4-1
Steelers 7-5 2-2
Bengals 7-5 1-3

The point to be made here, is only by a complete, historical collapse on the part of the Ravens could lead to the Ravens not winning the division.
