Of all the years FA is a factor, I can't see this year being so.

We have to reach a salary floor, the choices are obvious (sorry, #58 fans, I'm not referring to that guy). And the franchise tag is too expensive for these positions. AND FA market isn't much of a solution.

Plus they're both lunch pale kinda guys. At worst it's like the fiscal cliff deal; it might take until the last moment, but you know it's getting done.

I think it will get done. But I think RT is a non-factor if he is re-signed. If he isn't then it becomes a huge need, probably the top need.

Lewan's ranking is debatable, as is whether he even comes out. I would rank the tackles as such:

1- Joeckel - LT
2 - Mathews - RT
3 - Fisher - LT
4- Lewan - RT
5- Johnson - LT

We might not have a shot at any of the top 5 OT's anyways, there's always a run with teams looking for a LT. If I could have my choice of any of them it would be Mathews, I love the pedigree.
