There are other needs we can fill in Free agency with that money. MJ, Carlos, Atkins, Andre all can be resigned without us going after a RB in FA. I'd rather use that money on a vet WR if you are going to load the offense up.
There are plenty of good RBs in the draft, ones I'd rather have than players going into FA. I'd love to have Peerman back. I foresee BJGE, (Rookie), and Peerman as our RBs next year. Let see what people think.

The running backs in both free agency and the draft are not very "sexy". If we.can get a guy for the right price in free agency cool. If we can get a quality back in the middle rounds then so be it. I personally would like to draft a speed guy in the earlier rounds and a future pounder in the later rounds. Mike James from The U and Christine Micheal are two guys that can be had in fourth or fifth rounds for example. They could provide a nice combo with a Andre Ellington.

Here is my humble opinion, how 'bout we upgrade our O-Line and then the RB's that we have now will be even better?

RBs have shorter productive careers than almost any other position. So I say get one in the draft. By the time a guy has enough NFL carries to prove he is worth a big free agent contract he is already getting close to the start of his decline.

I agree... I would draft one in the top 3 rounds.

I haven't read anywhere that the coaching staff said that this needs to be addressed but God I hope they can see 6 inches in front of their faces.

This organization does not like "older" RBs. If they sign a free agent RB, it will be the biggest upset since Villanova beat Georgetown in '85. This need will almost certainly get addressed in the draft.

Where's the option for: Draft a mid or late RB, and forget about wasting money on one in FA?

Unpopular "I want my mommy" option: Go with BJGE, Peerman, and either Herron, an additional fullback (Jourdan Brooks), or re-sign Leonard or Scott.

Grab a FA back that is better than Leonard (can't be hard to find), and then draft one by round 3 hopefully.
Or any scenario in which we bring in a rb that has speed and and good hands while bringing in another back as well. Just hope we see a lineup of BJGE, "unnamed fast/quick/can catch back" & "unnamed back that is better than Leonard & Peerman" to be the 3rd (Herron maybe). Quote:
Sadly I can see this happening.
