I dont think its a coincidence that our O line difficulties have come in the two games since Cook was active again. Let me start by saying this is not a slam on Cook. The point I'm making is that the O line had jelled, and re-inserting Cook disrupted that. In the two games he has been back, they have given up 5 and 6 sacks.

I think they should have left the O line alone with Robinson at C. They could easily have left Cook on the bench under the ruse that they were gradually working him back into the mix. This way, he would have saved face and not been losing his job to injury, and the Bengals could have rode out the wave of good line play they were experiencing. Just my thoughts.
Then why did they struggle against Denver?
They have trouble with speed guys.
Dallas and Philly have speed guys

The problem with Denver was Andre Smith vs Von Miller. The Dallas and Philly games were jailbreaks...everyone was getting in on it, not just one or two guys.

Some players will start forever no matter what....Like lets say Kobe goes down and now Lakers somehow magically win 20 in a row.....Every coach in the NBA is putting Kobe back in the lineup. A dude like me tho, im huge on chemistry and riding hotsreaks. I probably wouldnt start him until we lost a couple games
I feel like someone failed to give that memo to Lou Gehrig... and every single other guy who's Wally Pipped another player out of their job. It's most certainly not an unwritten code. It happens all the time, including this season with Kapernick, and Foles, and Robinson over Faine.. and I am sure a countless others I can't recall off the top of my head.

2013 Outside FA Wishlist:
Chris Ivory, RB (Trade a 5th for him.)

2013 Mock Draft:
21. Eric Ried, S
37. Jamar Taylor, CB
53. Travis Frederick, C
84. Jamie Collins, OLB
115. Montee Ball, RB

Man... FA has really made me edit the crap out of my Wishlist/Draft... and not really for the better.

When you are swapping centers, the same center might not be in there when the same set is there and consequently, doesn't know the protection call that worked previously. You have 2 centers playing the defensive scheme differently. You CANNOT succeed doing that. No other coach in the league does that.
It's a good thing the Bengals have professional coaches who should know this sort of thing.

Damn, the ignorance of some people...
Okey dokey then...betcha he gets one of these stupid penalties at some crucial drive next Sunday.
It's an observation. An opinion. If everyone's comments were based solely on stats, this would be one boring message board. When did those penalties occur in the game? Did they cause the end of a drive? Did it back us up and out of a good chance at a 3rd down conversion? Those are the times I see his penalties happen. I didn't question the number I questioned the timing.

He's only 2nd to Gresham for penalties. Gresh has 9, Whit has 8 ( 4 off sides, and 4 holding...) http://www.nflpenalties.com/team/cin...gals?year=2012

Again - the 2nd most penalties on the team. Not the number I suggested but he's the player that causes the 2nd most drive derailments on the entire team. I think my point is valid.

But its not; only 3 of those 8 have had any significant impact.

Try again.

Cook should have been blocking a Guy and not adding a triple team to a guy already doubled teamed,.
