Captain Patches Dalton/ Maualuga

What do you all think about Dalton and Maualuga receiving the 'C' patches on their jerseys?

QBs of the Offense and Defense.

I understand Dalton getting it, but it seems like a confidence boost for Rey. Which is only good. Hes hasnt been playing abysmal recently

For Rey I think it has more to do with the position he plays, middle linebacker is like the quarterback of the Defense

I am pretty sure he would not gain confidence with a patch - but what the patch represents certainly made him proud...and from the way he is talking, he feels accountable for the defense. I like the move by Marvin.

I like it as well, and even if the patch does give him some confidence and makes him play better,....at least it's happening, so I really wouldn't care how pathetic it is. There has been (at least it seems) a decent amount of improvement from the guy from the beginning of the year.

MIKE is the quarterback and leader of the defense, so it was just a move to say "hey, everyone knows, but now everyone will see, too, so go get you some."

Weird because I've said that Rey's play has improved the past few games, and that's when he got the patch.

Dalton has nine TD passes and no interceptions in the same time....... coincidence? Maybe............

This is showing our team that we have visible leaders that we believe in.

For all the Marvin haters, you have to admire this move.

Maualuga might have not been my first choice for defensive captain, but it appears he has been playing a lot better as of late.

Did we have to revoke other players' "C" Patch status? Or is there no limit to the amount of players who receive them? I noticed Dalton's last week..

NOTE: I just read that this is the first time "C" patches have been assigned since 2010 (Palmer, Dhani Jones, Bobbie Williams, Peko)..

So I'm assuming for the last 1 1/2 years, it's just been Peko who has worn the C Patch?

No one has worn the "C" since 2010. They have had game captains since then.

I'm all for it if it improves Rey's play, and who doesn't like Andy getting the nod? On a side note, I have to admit that in the first few seconds after I read your thread title I thought "Who is Captain Patches"? (and I swear I'm not a blonde - lol.

Well when Rey is gone next year we can give the C patch to Burfict.
