If you let people like Andre get away, you are constantly trying to rebuild in the draft, when those choices could be better used to improve the team. You can say do it in free agency, but that method doesn't really have an excellent history.

Smith did have a rough start, but he is now one of the top tackles in the league and should be paid like it.

We're not getting any discounts, because I'm sure Andre did not take kindly to the fact that we didn't pick up the option.

Having a top 5 Right Tackle is a luxury.

Not many teams put RT as a high priority unless they have a left handed QB.

Let someone else pay him.
