Woods would be a great luxury pick, but I don't think we have that luxury. I voted lacy but I would change that to Elam on second thought.

I voted Barrett Jones......like previous posters had said, I do not like DE, I think MJ and Gillberry get re-sign, and with Ogletree in 1st, I do not like the idea of defense with first 2 picks, after MLB is address SS seems most need in defense and we can get a good one in later rounds.

I hope WR #2 is addressed in FA, coupled with Green, Sanu, Jones, not looking for a WR here, so it comes down to RB or C/G. I will always lean in the direction of trenches in this scenario, I believe Jones could have the impact that Pouncey had year one for the Steelers, I would take that over a rookie RB any day of the week. I also think we can still get a quality RB with 2b or 3rd round picks as well.

Jones gives you so much flexability on the OL, I can't justify taking either RB over him. He is a weapon at center, and if Robinson or somehow Cook looks good in camp then Jones moves over. He gives you a lot of options and has way too much value to pass up on.

I just tied it up with my Lacy vote! I do like Bernards game, but his injury history just say to stay away because of the luck the bengals have had.

I know it has been debated but Lacy gives us that true lead guy. Pair Lacy with a guy like K.Williams from Utah State in the 5th. Running back upgrade.......complete.

Pretty much how I feel. I wouldn't have a problem with two linebackers. However, Lacy sitting there at 37 is just too tempting.

I really like Greene as well and have gone back and forth several times on going back to back LB. It has worked very well for us before. It would be very nice to fix LB for the next 5 to 6 years. Making a choice here is very hard. Here is what I am thinking:
Lacy: Can get Bernard at 2b or Ball in the 3rd.
Woods: Can get Patton, Rodgers, or even King later.
Elam: Can get comparable safeties into the 3rd.
Jones: Can get Frederick at 2b.
Greene: We can get Porter in 3, or Hodges in the 4th.
Okafor: Can get Lemonier in the 3rd, Lavarr Edwards in the 4th, Washington in the 5th

Given that we can get comparable talent later in the draft I think I am leaning towards trading back and having something like
2b Frederick
2 (trade) Rambo
3 Montee Ball
3 (trade) Sean Porter or Hodges

I still haven't voted in the poll yet. Still mulling the options over.

Burma as long as we get two starters or heavy contributers I'm good for whatever.

I am all for trading out 1st to a team wanting a QB and getting a high 2nd and third. Giving us three 2nds and two 3's. Then trade the two 3's and have four 2's, four 2's yes 4 # 2's! Then we could draft a #2!

Sorry I blackout for a little.

If we could get Justin Hunter in the 2nd round, that would make us 1 fast RB away from a complete offense.

Justin Hunter is AJ Green lite.

He is tall at 6'4", agile, fast and is a great route runner.
He would be a surefire 1st round pick this year if he hadn't been injured in 2011 and still recovering in the first half of 2012.

With him and Green outside and Sanu and Hawkins alternating in the slot, we'd have an offense that even Gresham would have trouble ****ing up.

Crazy that RBs are running 1-2. If you look where CBS has thenm ranked as overall prospects compared to the rest of the group you'll see they are down toward the bottom:

Okafor-27
Woods-39
Reid-40
Elam-42
Lacy-43
Jones-47
Greene-53
Bernard-54
Hunter-55

Okafor is the best prospect available; however, we shouldn't go D back to back. Woods is the right choice.

This drafts sweet spot really seems to be mid 2nd through mid 3rd. If we did trade back like you mentioned we could fill a lot of holes with quality guys.

I am also pretty surprised at the direction of the results. I thought we would be looking at Okafor and Woods neck and neck. Woods would be a phenomenal complement to AJ. It would be like Pickens and Scott again, or Herman Moore and Johnny Morton for the Lions back in the day.

This right here would fill our issues at RB for the forseeable future. It would allow us to cut BJGE after this coming year and free up some money. I dont think you could go wrong here!! I like your idea.

I also feel that many believe there is a HUGE difference between Lacy and Bernard. They only difference, and I dont think its even that big of a difference, is their physical stature. Lacy is a little bit bigger back but they posess the same skills. I would be happy with either, but I give the edge to Lacy as a personal favorite!
