Not gonna happen. Taylor has already been ruled out. If the Oline holds up and gives Andy time to throw I think this is a mismatch we can easily exploit.

I think Lebeau begs to differ.

Their secondary play is a weakness. However, their D-line and LBs are very big strengths. So not many people even realize because those two parts of the defense take over a game pretty easily.
But Labeau will do a lot of blitz packaging and put linebackers to drop back into coverage. It's going to be a tough game for this offense. The O-line needs to give Dalton time, but Dalton also has to be accurate with the ball.

AJ Geeen hasn't really exploited any matchups in a long time so I wouldn't hold my breath.

Their secondary is their weakness? Weren't they the #1 pass defense for most of the season, maybe still? And they don't have a good rush this year.
I say try to get AJ deep and pepper them with Hawk while Timmons of Foote is trying to cover him underneath...that will open things up. Along with a steady does of The Law Firm.

LeBeau is going To do the same thing he always did with Chad, and has done so far with Green -- Bracket coverage the **** out of him. He won't go anywhere without 2 guys on him

That should be to our advantage they are so thin at corner. That would mean a 4th or 5th corner covering everyone else must win those match ups.

All the more reason for Gresh to step up in this game, make them put a safety on him vice a linebacker, opening up man to man on AJ.

Exactly. If thereis no success outside of Green, then we know we need more immediate help at WR than we originally thought. I only worry about the Steelers pressing Hawk and Jones, as that is their real weakness. So they may push and get an advantage there. But one of the players HAS to step up

I just hope that the refs protect AJ and dont let rookie DBs take cheap shots on him.

In 3 games since losing Sanu all the passing stats have dropped off it is no longer a coincidence.

That's why I said immediate help, as I think Sanu and Jones will be more than enough next year

Who does their secondary even consist of now?
Polamalu, Keenan Lewis, Victorian and who?

Looks like him and Lewis will be the starting corners on Sunday. Polamalu didn't practice today, but that probably doesn't mean anything. |
