Rex Ryan has also gone to the playoffs 2 of the last 4 years. And everyone wants him gone. As has Andy Reid. The difference between those coaches and Marvin? They have won playoff games in that time. Actually, they won playoff games period. And while they are eliminated this year, if the Bengals lose today, they will also be eliminated basically. (Would need Steelers to lose next week and they need to beat the Ravens).

Been thinking the same thing. This Bengals team is finally forming an identity that I see giving us the ability to contend frequently. Lights out defense. Strong run game and supplemental pass offense. Think the San Francisco 49ers or Houston Texans.

Anyway, no, I don't think Marvin should be fired if we lose the game Sunday, but they should definitely be shopping for his replacement next year. 10 years with a losing record and no playoff wins is inexcusable, regardless of circumstances.

I dont hate Marvin. Heck I like him alot better than Baker. Seriously Marvin imo is top third in the league. Their is alot of bad coaching in the NFL. Now we atleast use the "free play" when the defense jumps like all 31 other teams. Hes gotten better it has taken him awhile though.

Well Ryan has managed to make Tebow haters sympathetic to Tebow for not giving him the opportunity regardless of how he played and how he's been handled all season

IMHO he should have been fired years ago.

The fact that he is still here goes against almost all NFL protocol regarding the retention of Head Coaches who don't produce.

The theory that he has some embarrassing pics of Mikey may have some validity.

Marvin would have been fired after the 2008 season by a bunch of NFL teams. In no other world but MB's does any NFL head coach retain his job after the 2010 season and eight years as HC with zero playoff wins !

So yes, he should be fired. But that ain't gonna happen !

In a normal year, Marvin directly contributes to two games lost due to poor game management and inability to change during the game to what the opponents are doing.

This year, I feel Marvin has cost the Bengals three games, most recently the Cowboys game by not running the ball in the last two series.

One of these days, the players will recognize that Marvin is holding them back and will either openly revolt or just move on to other teams.

I don't think Marvin will be fired in any scenario
