We won't take a RB in the 1st.

Eric Reid won't be there that long.

Too many other options and value to take Lattimore that early.

We need to draft a CB way before the 6th Rd.

We have a first round pick in Dre.
Figure at least one of Newman/Pacman will be back.
Prater and Ghee will be back.

I don't see the NEED to draft a CB early.
I see a possible pick if value presents itself.

Dre has not proven anything yet but to be injured. Same goes for Ghee and Prater.

Nothing is ever guaranteed and their is good depth this year at the CB position. We need to take advantage of it.

Neither has a CB taken before the 6th round.
If we bring back Newman or Pacman (both would be fine with me) we don't need to take a CB until late unless great value is there.

I can see us taking a guy like Robert Alford in the 4th Rd. he can also return kicks(bye bye tate).

there was really no need for us to take the two Defensive Tackles this year.
In the 5th, you are pretty much taking a flier....and he's with the late round pick, I'd say it's a no harm no foul situation.

Love this draft except for WR in the second round. You could probably just pick everyone a spot ahead starting with Reid moving up and so on and it looks great. Pick a WR later on for depth but I like what we will have in Green, Sanu, Jones, Hawkins, and Whalen. They are all young and talented and will only get better going into next season.

It's the dude's rookie year, cut the man some slack. If he is injured next year or underperforms, then start looking at a replacement but come on man, give him a break.

I agree completely. With our early 2nd round pick (from Oakland), we could get very good value at the CB position.

CB1: Hall
CB2: Dre Kirk
Slot: Allen

Plus Prater & Ghee.

If the Bengals re-sign Pacman and/or Newman, then I could easily see:

CB1: Hall
CB2: Dre Kirk/Newman
Slot: Pacman

Anyone that tries to exclaim the dire need at CB hasn't taken a fair accessment of our LBs under contract in 2013. Burfict/Lemur/Vincent Rey/Joiner/Schaffer. The Bengals have 1 LB starter under contract.
