Whatevsies. My brain doesn't feel good anymore. If the Bengals beat the Steelers....the Bengals are in. That's all I care about.
Actually, the Steelers would win the Division in that scenario due to a 3-1 record against the Bengals and Ravens while the Ravens would be 2-2 and the Bengals 1-3.

Then it would come down to the three way tie for the WC between the Bengals Ravens Colts, which the Colts would be the odd team out.

Lulz, I do this every year, I give myself a headache checking the possibilities that don't matter.....Cuz there's no way the Chiefs are beating the Colts.

We just gotta beat the Steelers, that's all there is to it.

My God man, why couldn't we just catch the friggin ball against the Cowboys.

Yeesh....that's a lot of tie-breakers....

I just want to see it come down to "The Coinflip" some day. As long as the Bengals don't come out on the bad end of that. I would kick a kitten.

only way we catch colts in sov now is: 1 of 2 unlikely scenarios: Texans beat vikings and they clinch homefield but beat colts anyway week 17. option 2 even more unlikely kc beats broncos week 17. even with either of those scenarios happening. we still need a mild upsets of jax over titans and raiders over panthers. we have less than a 10 percent chance of that happening. steelers bengals is a playoff game pretty much. we lose were more than likely done. even with all that we need 3 mild favorites to come through chargers over jets jets over bills and reskins over cowboys

Yea, strength of victory, I know the bengals would win that cuz the Colts actually have a negative net point total this year. In that scenario, conference record is tied at 6-6, common opponents would be tied at 3-2 (Dolphins, Browns, Chiefs, Jaguars) and Bengals would take it on strength of victory tie break.

Your confusing strength of victory its winning percentage of teams you have beat.

This is the tie breaker...

6th Seed - Cincinnati
Wins tie break over Indianapolis based on best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed.

Strength of victory tie break comes before strength of schedule.

Yea, that's what is referred to as "strength of victory". It's just a long winded way of saying the Bengals net point total is much better than the Colts.

I thought strength of victory meant, record of teams you've beaten?

No he's right. Bengals and Colts would be tied in conference record at 6-6, and with common opponents at 3-2.....The next tie break is "strength of victory" which is simply net points.....Colts are currently -49 Bengals are +62. Assuming the Colts lose out, it's impossible for them to make up that difference so that would be the tie break that turned it for the Bengals.

The colts beat titans twice that was pretty much a death blow to bengals over taking colts in tiebreaker. they may even be able to clinch saturday if lions upset falcons.

The way the generator is describing it, it's net points, so I was going with that. But now I'm not sure lol.

Yea dude, you're right, lol, I didn't read far enough down the tie break list. And now I don't know what to make of that generators' statement that the Bengals would win the tie via "ranking in points scored and allowed' cuz strength of victory is what you said it is, I had that wrong. So assuming the Bengals and Colts were still tied there, which is hard to believe but maybe, then how on earth do the Colts make it past the SOS tie break which comes before the "ranking points" that the generator said would decide it. No way the Colts have a better SOS.

A few days back i typed out the colts and bengals opponents record. Overall the Bengals had a 3 game lead.....but i don't recall what the record was in just the wins. I'll check to see if i saved it.

Here's what will happen.. (I'll make it easy for you all)...

Bengals win out... Ravens lose out... Indy beats KC.

Bengals 4th
Indy 5th
Ravens 6th

We beat Indy in round one... probably beat Texans in round two.. and anything after that is gravy.
