Really our offense is WAY too vanilla. No traps, no draws, no real screens, no rolling pockets, nothing. It lets pressure defenses tee off on our OL which lacks experience on the inside and cohesion overall.

I think the better analysis was the one Phil Simms had. The Patiots do NOT have alot of offensive skill players other than a couple OLs, a TE, and QB. It is a bunch of no names and hand-me-downs from other teams. "Vereen, Ridley, Woodhead, Llyod, Slater, Branch, Stallworth, etc. etc." And Hernandez has his own set of issues. But as Simms noted, they had players who can fill roles. Brday was sacked just as often as Dalton vs the Texans BUT do you want to count how many balls no name RBs and TEs caught during the game? IT WAS SCHEME AND EXECUTION and not talent. The OL protections were basically the same - ours may even be better - but Brady and Vereen/Ridley/Hernandez sure did alot better dealing with it than Dalton/Gruden. I can NOT figure out why some folks can not accept that our OL does not have major issues and that it is the QB's inability to deal with pressure that is the issue. Until he learns how to go to his checkdowns, #2 and #3 progressions, the pressure will continue. Check it out for yourself. How many passing yards do our RBs get compared to other teams?
