I dont think the Jets are overrated but I think they're exactly what their record is - they're average

everyone generally dislikes the Jets because the media hounds them and it's because of the media the Jets are either seen as the greatest or the worst in everything and because the media glorifies everything they do, naturally everyone gets fed up with them, I'm fed up with the media more than I am of the Jets because I dont let them influence how I view teams, I can see the Jets as being just average based on their performance on the field and the personnel they have on their team right now

I am disgusted by the Bengals lost. My only condolences is to have fun with you haters. We are all Bengal fans, so again I am just having fun with you guys otherwise it would be boring. The same old boring crew are at Smack Talk and more importantly this keeps my head level, because I would be steaming mad in Jungle Noise ranting about the poor performance of Dalton and the Bengals.



The 2012 Jets were never hyped this season, I live in New York I should know. Yet the OP took the time out to create a misleading thread.

The OP said the Jets were a flat out bad team, but the Jets never lost to a 0-5 team. The Jets have the same record with the Bengals, so what does that make the Bengals who did lose to a 0-5 team?



Here before the season started the NY Post had a now famous image of the Giants and Jets. This was a typical opinion of the Jets by the media this year in New York.


Obtaining Tebow on the team did not make the Jets the preseason favorite to win the Superbowl. What makes this a misleading thread is about the "overhyped", I challenge anyone to find one link, one article that the Jets would win even the division.

When Tebow joined the Jets, it becames a writer's dream, much like when Dennis Rodman joined the Bulls.

The only difference was that the Bulls were already 3 times Champions and made the playoffs every year. Here the Jets did not make the playoffs last year, were not Champions and I repeat not predicted to even win their division. Over abundance of media coverage does not make a team overhyped. Peyton Manning of the Broncos, Luck of the Colts, RG3 of the Redskins have received plenty of media coverage. Manning and RG3 dominate the airwaves with advertisement. This season Tebow and the Jets, .....[*crickets*].

Media coverage =/= Overhyped

BTW, other than the NFL Championship games losts to the team I hate the 49ers. The 1982 playoff 44-17, rout by the Jets to us at home STILL hurts the most to me.


P.S. With the Bengals losing to the Browns, my condolences was not only the Jets destroying the Colts. Where is coltsfanforever?

But the New York Giants dismantling the team that I hate, the 49ers[you guys should hate them also].

I was switching back and forth between the Dallas v Bengals game and the Chargers v Steelers game.

With an occasional look at the Titan v Colt game.

I was having a fine day early.

I am doing well my Bengals are in the playoffs as I predicted them to be way back in 10-22-2012.

As for Gang Green, I know of no reputable source that predicted gang green to be in the tournament this year. Which makes this thread a failure. In NY, no one gave them a shot. The media here knew they were a joke. If some out of staters were foolish enough to think they were going somewhere this year, that's on them. They were a circus before the season and one after the season. Seriously, name me one place that predicted big things from gang green??? Again, this thread is a failure. Nobody overhyped the Jets to win anything. Those who thought media attention{Tebow mania = Hyped for playoffs} don't know football.
