User Titles

With the recent switch in VIP status, some have asked about the various user title designations. Here is a summary of how the automated system works:

1) Newbie - a member is classified as a Newbie after registering and until he/she reaches 50 posts.

2) Graduated Newbie - after reaching 50 posts and prior to 6 months board service time

3) Veteran Member - after 50 posts, 6 months service time and at least 1 reputation point

4) VIP Member - members remain a Veteran member until they reach at least 3 years of service time on the board. At 3 years, if they have less than 1000 posts OR 1000 reputation points they become a VIP member.

5) VIP Silver Member - after 3 years service time, 1000 posts AND 1000 reputation points

6) VIP Gold Member - after 3 years service time, 5000 posts AND 5000 reputation points

7) VIP Platinum Member - after 3 years service time, 10,000 posts AND 10,000 reputation points
