crazy talk...first of all we don't even know who we are playing in the wc...could be hou, den, or ne...secondly, this offense needs to get some rhythm going, seems like since the second half of the dallas game our o has pretty much disappeared.

these aren't the '00 ratbirds, we can get some flow back in the offense this week and then prepare for who our opponent ends up being.

would not be shocked if it ends up being a rematch of last years wc.

Many people responding to this thread say that the Bengals should rest starters for the game against the Ravens.

Why not just test out a few plays on the Ravens (that could be used against the Patriots), play it by ear and for the second half send in Gradkowski and other backups to finish the game out?

In the meantime, can we all just celebrate a successful season, even if the Bengals lose the final game and get blown out in Foxborough, or wherever?

By the way, the Patriots are very beatable, but it's going to take continued ferocious play of the defense and more razzle-dazzle on offense.

The Bengals are learning to finish games.I don't know whether its the right or wrong thing to do but I say win any game you can. Once you do that the players get used to wining more.
You might say what if a starter gets hurt? Oh well it could happen anyway. Remember Carson against the Steelers back in 05? Play to win. My 2 cents

For one, if after everyone plays their games, you make the post season, then that's all that matters. I don't know why everyone calls it "backing in" if you don't win your last two or three games in a row.

Secondly, the Bengals certainly are not "backing in" this year, being as they controlled their destiny, did what they had to do and have already clinched heading into the final week.

I'd rather not see Dalton or AJ play in the second half tbh. Whether it's Bmore or New England or whoever, we're not beating anyone in the playoffs if we lose either one of those two.....I'd probably sit Geno down in the second half as well, maybe Hall too.

Its not backing in though. Backing in is what they did last year. Losing the last game and needing help from other teams to make it. Thats backing in. This year they won 6 of 7 and beat their kryptonite on the road to clinch.
