Default Best hotel to stay in for attending a game?

I'll be coming up for a game this season, which hotel is the best choice? I stayed in the Millennium a few years back, but it's got a lot of bad reviews lately from the site I use to book.

They are expensive but the Skyline View rooms right across bridge in Ky are sweet and you can walk to stadium. There are several hotels with. Embassy Suites is one.

I use points from my credit card and stay at the Westin. It's a few blocks away from the stadium, an easy walk. It's a pretty nice place but I think it may be fairly pricey without the points. We've been there a few times when the Ravens have stayed there.

I stayed at the Westin in my trip to St. Louis. The Bengals did the same, got to meet Rey Rey, Michael Johnson, Peko and Geathers. I saw Clements and Crocker, too. Real cool experience.

We have stayed at the Millennium as well. And you are correct "very very bad". Considering we come from Virginia Beach (and don't have alot of $$). We have stayed at the Marriott several times. Reasonable prices, David is the Manager and his team is FANTASTIC. Nice rooms (can hold 3-5 peeps), cook in rooms, (bring food and drink with you to cook and save$$$$) good workout area and decent "free" breakfast in the am. Easy walk to PBS or the waterfront or back over the bridge to Ky. Details : Residence Inn by Marriott Cincinnati Downtown at Lytle Park

I think it depends on whether it's a family or adult trip. If adult, I would suggest staying near Newport on the Levee. Walk or catch a cab to downtown and explore the new Banks area, walk or take a cab back to Newport, party there and then you're an easy walk to your hotel. No fuss, no muss and you get to party at both hot spots. JMO. Have fun.

I've stayed at both the Millenium in town and the Marriott across the river. I walked to and from the game each visit. Granted both stays were a while ago (Millenium in 2005 and Marriott in 2008). But here are a few things I recall that probably haven't changed:

The walk across the Roebling bridge from the Marriott was pretty cool.
The walk to the Millenium was shorter.
The players stayed at the Millenium the night before the game and I ran into a few of them in the lobby.
Both hotels had taxis readily available.

If I went back, I would pick the Marriott because the view was better. Here is a picture I took from my room.

We always stay at the Hyatt on 5th. We stayed at the Westin once and much preferred the Hyatt. Both hotels have a wonderful location though...you can walk everywhere.

Embassy Suites in Covington, KY would be the best bet. I think they offer a shuttle to the game and someone said free beer on game day.

Thanks for the info. I want to stay downtown I believe, so we can walk around and take everything in.

Stayed at the Hilton last year's Steelers game. Wasn't dissappointed. Nice architecture and history if you're into that. Nice in-hotel restaurant, bar, and breakfast room. Room was smallish for the price, but I wasn't there to peruse the hotel so it was fine. Was just a quick walk from there to PBS and back. Pretty good variety of downtown restaurants and bars nearby. Very convenient.

I suggest staying on the KY side and going to the Beer Sellar/Hooters before the game. You can stand out on the deck on the river and they have a fully stocked beer/liquor boat that comes every so often to take you to and from the game for $2.50 each way. Or you could walk back.

When I roll into town for a game I always stay at the embassy suites. Nice walk to stadium when weather permits and they have the best omelets for b-fast I've ever had in my whole life

Are you really really rich? If you're really really rich then you should just buy up a mansion somewhere and load it with hookers. And then not even go to the game.
