Free Rice
Just saw this on NBC: some guy started a vocab website and, if you go there and answer multiple choice synonym questions, you'll donate 20 grains of rice per correct answer. There's no advertising, cost, or anything. Just learn and help starving kids. I've been on 5 minutes and have donated over 1000 grains of rice. It's simple. Put a link to it in your sig.

Jane will require leg prosthesis that may cost $100k and need to be replaced every 6 months as she grows. Martin's mother, Denise, required brain surgery. The father suffered shrapnel damage to his legs.

The whole site works on the theory:
The ad's keep them alive, since there will be a lot of people donating rice, they might look at the ads, click them, etc. So the sponser's pay a certain amount, and it usually gets enough money to cover the rice buying process.
