In reading some articles, and some posts here it is becoming plain to me that Chad WIL NOT be dealt, and it has nothing to do with CAP numbes or compensation. It all has to do with Mike Brown.
Mike Brown the Businessman Mike Brown the Negotiator Mike Brown the Owner Mike Brown has a history of NOT giving into whiners. It was pointed out that when Corey Dillon wanted out and was causing a stink, the Bengals didn't give into him immediately. They moved him at the end of the year, when it was convenient to them and what was best for the team. He in turn will not give into CJ. I think the Bengals turning down what could potentially be two first round picks for CJ, pretty much says he isn't going anywhere. Two first round picks for CJ pretty much is better than any scenario any one of us has logically came up with to this point, and MB didn't pull the trigger. That is stunning, but also very telling as to what to expect from MB. The things above pretty much tell me CJ will not be traded before the draft - period. No idea what might happen after June 1 or the end of the season however.
