Default REALISTIC! Trade possibilities.

First and foremost let me say this. The Raiders as a trading partner for Chad is outrageous! They have paid alot of money out the past two years and still have Mr.McFadden to pay. They would not be able to afford Chad. So I will not even use them in this little note. I will use the 3 teams who have the best chance at landing Chad though.

Philadelphia Eagles:
Dallas Cowboys:
Washington Redskins:

1st I am going to look at their drafts...

Philadelphia: DT, WR, OLB, OT, FS, CB, OT, ILB, OLB, OT
Dallas: RB, CB, TE, RB, CB, DE
Washington: WR, TE, WR, OT, CB, P, DB, QB, DE, FS

Now the UDFA Signings.

Philadelphia: T, WR
Dallas: WR, DE
Washington: T, T, G, S, CB

Well with the Redskins taking 2 WR's I think we can cross them off our list since they already have a VERY highly paid WR core.
So that brings us to Dallas and Philly. But who or what would they be willing to trade us? Well anyone with a brain knows that the Eagles didn't draft players just for us. Now I'm not saying that Andy Ried isn't a nice guy but I don't think he likes us that much. We already know Andy HATES dealing his 1st for players. So I could see their offers looking something like this.

Philadelphia:
Lito, 4th
1st, 4th
Dallas:
Barber, 6th
Roy, 3rd
Crayton, 1st

nice attempt.... but none of those get us the value we would need in return.

Lito, 1st, 4th - Chad
eagsles 1st ,1st, 4th - Chad

Those are alot more plausible

Ahh... i didnt see that.
BOOOO

Now west TX being the "Best" poster is opinionated, because being the best poster does not mean to be the most knowledgable. But he is the most informed poster.... that in itself is without a doubt.

I do not think the Cowboys will trade for Chad; at least not anything of worth.

Jerry Jones and Mike Brown do not seem to really see eye to eye.

I see the Eagles and Titans as the only trading parters since they both need a talented WR.

I would take Jason Taylor, Ted Ginn and Miami's 09 2nd round pick.

1st. I didn't say these would happen I said they are what those teams would offer.
2nd. If you look at the way the Titans jerked the Cowboys around over Pacman I don't think we could get anything done with them.
3rd. If TX is the best or most knowledgeable poster on this forum then we need to get more posters because saying that a team would take our shopping list to the draft on the outside chance we decide to deal Chad is just simply moronic.
4th. Washington is completely loaded up at WR's.
5th. Philly think VERY highly of their over rated injury prone players.
6th. Raiders have spent WAY to much money the past 2 years and still have to pay more.
7th. Dallas does not in my mind have the fire power to obtain Chad unless they are willing to deal Barber, Crayton and a 3rd round pick for Chad and Rudi. I doubt they would but that would seem like the only option that would accommodate both teams.
8th. Parcells didn't want T.O. and left Dallas because of him so why would he want Chad? And who even said Ted Ginn was on the block? You?

Philly was already burned with T.O. Once bitten, twice shy.

Dallas was only in the bidding to make Washington overpay. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Washington was the only team that really wanted him, and the Bengals said no. Doubt they will ever get as good an offer. Hats off to the Bengals for showing a backbone, but don't cut your nose to spite your face. We've seen this all before. Only way to change the problem is to win.

Wow, # 3 on your list will NOT make you a lot of friends on here.

You may want to use the search feature, go to advanced search, then on the right hand side search for user and type in "West TX Bengal Fan".

I will not go as far as you did with the word moronic, but being new on the boards and judging someone by one thread that you read of theirs is really not a very smart thing to do.

They offered more BEFORE they drafted 2 of the best WR's in the draft do go alongside Moss, Randal ell and Cooley.

Okay well what would you call someone saying that we feed picks to other teams and they draft the guys we tell them in hopes that we have a change of heart and decide to trade Chad down the road.
I would have to be a moron to believe a professional football organization would take a shopping list of players to the draft for another team. Draft the players rather then drafting for their own needs. Take them to training camp and everything just to trade for a big mouth show boating moron like Chad Johnson.
The Raiders will have NO cap space after signing their F/A's. The Eagles and Redskins both Drafted some of the highest ranked WR's in this draft. Dallas has very little fire power. I don't know why you people think we are going to get 2 firsts and a Pro Bowl player for someone like Chad. Not to mention his value drops every time he goes on T.V.

I would call him an intelligent fan of the Cincinnati Bengals who is voicing his opinion/scenario of possible trades. Possible.... not likely, but possible. Read some more of the posts that follow and you will learn something

Although TX's trade scenarios may prove to be far fetched and fantastic, I lead more towards the tendency of automatically ignoring all future posts by someone who thinks "moronic" is a proper adjective for TX. You've only discredited yourself, I think.

But, there's many people on my discredited list. You're a welcome addition.

Apologize for what? For being realistic? For having the common sense to know that no NFL team would even consider taking another teams shopping list to the draft in hopes of a trade? For knowing that a team wouldn't take players to training camp if they had plans of cutting them? Or for knowing a team wouldn't trade for rookies on June 1st because of the limited amount of time we would have to evaluate the player? For knowing that we have drafted our own rookies at WR and there is no need for DeSean? For knowing that even though Chad is a great skill player he is still a freaking head case? WestTX's conspiracy Theory holds no water what so ever. The only reason anyone even acts as though it does is because we had a terrible draft and this theory would make up for it. Laws and DeSean could be great talents but they are not ours and will not be ours in the foreseen future. We have who we have. There are no phantom picks... We didn't give anyone a shopping list and no team is going to give up their rookies who add much needed depth to their roster for our headache.
