Default Kyries Hebert

Any news about him? I feel he has a shot to make the team as a special teamer. He will be a heck of a back up. What do you guys think?

I expect him to be cut
We have too many good player at safety
White, Ndukwe, Jackson, Lynch, Jones are who I expect us to keep

I hope he can prove himself in the preseason. I think he would be a good fit. He can play, plus he has a attitude to go with it. I would like to keep him over jones. Don't get me wrong, I think jones is a great special teamer. I just get a little weary about the injury he had.

That safety/special teams spot is pretty crowded. But I think anybody has a shot. You never know what's going to happen with injury and stuff like that. I think the previously mentioned guys (Lynch, Jones, Kilmer, etc...) have the inside track. But we'll see what happens in Georgetown. Either way, it's nice to have options.

H-D Jones' injury was "minor". No damage to tendons or cartilage. Kilmer's injury was much more serious. Don't think Jones' injury will be or should be a factor.

a few weeks ago I read this in an old blog after a goolge search:

A grand jury in Texas yesterday indicted Renegades linebacker Kyries Hebert on felony charges of aggravated assault, using a deadly weapon and resisting arrest.

That means prosecutors can proceed with a case against the 25-year-old, who could face trial after being accused of assaulting his wife last month.

The allegations include Hebert holding his wife's head under water while threatening to kill her at their home in Brazoria County, near Houston, during the evening of Jan. 11.

Persons accused of felony crimes in Texas receive grand jury hearings before prosecutors can proceed with a case.

From this point, Hebert could go to trial, enter a plea bargain, plead guilty, or the charges could be dropped for various reasons, including if Hebert's wife made such a request.

------- I hope this guy is not the same guy

Your post says the accussed is 25 but Kyries is 27. So, not him.

You know what, i think Hebert is a great fit. Hard worker who has the size and speed for the SS position. He may not be as athletically gifted as Kilmer, but i don't trust Kilmer with his injury. Keep Jones at cb, cut Kilmer, and keep Hebert as a back up/special teamer.

i believe they will keep Lynch over Hebert however if it comes down to that. I think Lynch has tremendous upside, maybe not as athletic, once again, as Kilmer, but he has great vision, he can read the qb's eyes so well.

The guy is huge for a safety (6'3", 220) and can run pretty well. I think he has a very good chance to make the team.

I did a poll here recenttly, and Lynch edged out Hebert by a few votes for the final safety spot. I pretty much agree with that.

I dont think that is our guy, or we'd know all about it.

And, Hebert will make the team before Kilmer. Kilmer is a one trick pony as a special teamer that cant stay on the field. Guys like Hebert and Lynch are football players that excelled at different positions, so they bring much more to a football team than a guy who is being paid to just be a gunner on the punt coverage team.

I'll go out on a limb and say that Kilmer gets cut early.

Herana_Daze had a minor knee scope. He has been 100% for several weeks now. He's benn playing full court basketball since May. He is more than fine.

It will all come down to training camp and pre season. It will make things fun. I think he will have a pretty good advantage since he is playing on a smaller field.

Kyries Hebert is a hitter and one heck of an athlete. I couldn't find that Youtube video of him training by jumping over these ridiculously high platforms, but my jaw dropped when I saw it the first time.

Ethan Kilmer, however, is no longer a "one-trick-pony" if he can stay healthy. The only way you can say that is if you think his interception which he took to the house was a pure fluke, which I don't believe it was. The kid is phenomenally athletic. I'm just afraid he's insufficiently durable for the NFL.

Here is the thing, if Kilmer comes back, he will more than likely be a CB. Corey Lynch can be put on the PS.

Kilmer if he comes back healthy and plays great, Deltha will pack his bags and go home. I think HD-Jones vs. Kyries Hebert is the battle to keep an eye out for.

I'd perfer Kyries, because he is a S in a LB body, and he has speed and tackling abilities that this team likes and needs. HD is a great ST player, and I wished for him and Kyries on this team, but the matter of the fact is.. unless Dexter and Deltha get cut.. HD vs. Kyries is probably the battle for the final S spot.

Ethan Kilmer is listed as a DB.As long as that stands,he is not going to take up a spot at either safety position.

The Bengals have pursued Hebert for a while now, two seasons if I'm correct.

I can't lead myself to believe that they went through all that trouble, just to cut him.

Sorry, he ain't going nowhere.

I watched Hebert play with the Blue Bombers all last season, the guy has great athletic ability, speed and aggression. He can be a bit of a loose cannon and takes careless penalties. If he can receive some structure and discipline with the Bengals, I can see him being a stud on special teams. He is missed by the Bombers this season as they have played brutally without him.

By the way, Hebert is my avatar, in the Blue and Gold.

Is he pretty good at coverage? I never seen him play. I've only seen highlights. for how big he is it would seem that he seems more of a run support saftey.

Are you serious, Herana-Daze Jones will not be beat out by a CFL player or Lynch or Kilmer or Busing. Marvin will not allow Jones to go anywhere.
