Default My Bengals Dead Weight Top 10 List

#1 Eric Ghiaciuc (just like the old 7up add said about caffein "never had it, never will")
#2 John Thornton (When this man is in the zone you still never here his name called for making a play)
#3 Brad St. Louis (All this guy can do is long snap and that's only if there's no pressure)
#4 Daniel Coats (couldn't make it as a tight end and sure aint no fullback)
#5 Abdul Hodge (possibly the weakest MLB in the NFL and he's our#2 guy)
#6 Antwan Odom (sadly our sack specialist on pace to obtain 4 1/2 sacks can't play the run at all)
#7 Dhani Jones (out of position mr. Whiff Jones go away)
#8 Corey Mays (Our #2 SLB should be in CFL)
#9 Rashad Jeanty (never lived up to expectations had 1 descent year)
#10 Chad Johnson (Has seen his prime gives up on routes plays without desire, can't run block prima Donna

To have Dhani Jones on this list and not Dexter Jackson is criminal. Otherwise decent list, except I would have added another o-lineman or two.

I would keep Dhani, Odom and Chad. I would not miss any of the others.

I hope we can get a decent FB, MLB, and fast RB like the Titans and Cowboy did this year.

Wow! I can't believe I'm talking about the draft only after six games.

Mike Brown is pathetic

For the money they are being paid, you could add Levi and Stacy to this list. And Chris Perry we kept instead of Rudi?

BTW, #1 should be Bratkowski. He's holding this team back.

Zimmer will be head coach next season.

I'll put in bold the ones I agree with.

That's about mine to, though I still have to disagree with the Coats. He showed promise last year, and I think his problems may be more with the switch than with ability. I think he could still make it as a TE (but not a F. Jeanty also isn't to bad, he has the capability of being a play-maker (when he can be on the field and not injured for a while). Plus all our LBs would look better if we had a real D-line.

Also where are Perry and C. Jax? Both should be top 5 at least, competing for top 3, and somehow got left off the list? I think S. Andrews and possibly L. Jones also need spots.

As mentioned by others Dhani Jones leads the NFL in tackles and you think he is dead weight? You probably saw him whiff on a tackle or two and decided to add him. I totally agree about Chad in that he does not run block at all. None of our receivers do.

dhani jones is good.. his experience is necessary i just think he fits better as a sam instead of mlb because his lack of bulk. i think jeanty is a good player, maybe more of a rotational guy... dan coates is an alright te, not a fullback at all, maybe could be a good h-back... i think odom could be better with a better push in the middle, i think that'll come next year when the sims/shirley rotation takes over... the list was good, but i think that we need to revamp our o-line, ant

The middle linebacker in a 4-3 scheme will almost always lead a team in tackles. The fact that this defense is on the field more than any other also leads to his leading the league in tackles. The problem is most of the are by the ankles and from behind 7-12 yards downfield. He sits back on his heels and then plays catchup instead of closing and making plays at the line of scrimmage.

#7 Isn't (wasn't) he the leading tackler in the league going into today?
