Default Ben is the best!

Michael Wilbon, the very knowledgeable and talented co host of PTI said on his show yesterday that with Brady out for the season that Big Ben was the best QB in the league right now. A few weeks ago he was the one who referred to sincinnati as a "cesspool" as far as coaches or players wanting to go there, so you know he is very accurate in his opinions.
This should put to rest once and for all about "who's better" carson or ben. We can all move on now

Maybe, I'm sure there is someone who likes Mike Brown...along with thinking the Bengals have a legitimate shot at the Superbowl this year.

I really hope there is no one like that out there..

Let's compare:
Charlie Brown has more football knowledge. Even though he is only a field goal kicker, and has actually never kicked the football due to Lucy, he has more experience in the sport than Mike Brown.

Charlie Brown does not let failure and criticism get him down. Even when he created a ghost costume with 9 eyes and got bags of rocks, he was still going out door-to-door to greet the public. "Mike Brown, Where are you?"

He forgot to mention that Carson is out right now, too. As the conversation continued, Wilbon also said that he would take either Philip Rivers, Drew Brees, or Wee Ben. Then, he agreed with Cornheiser that Wee Ben is definitely not the best passer in the league.

So, it is perfectly clear... that this means a lot less than you want it to do.

He had no reason to mention Carson being out. He was talking about the best "QB" in the league since Brady is out. He did not say because Carson is out. Healthy Carson is not in the top five when it comes to QBs. Top 5 Passer,,,,,mmaaayyybeee but that was not the topic.

Why would he mention carson? Well anyway, To be more accruate Cornhole is the one who mentioned Brees name as being the best passer. That is when wilbon said "I'm not talking about best passer, I'm talking best Qb". Sound familiar? He didn't say anything about
giant Ben being the best or not the best passer. He said best QB. As time was running out in that segmentin passing he said he would however take any of those qb's mentioned on his team. I hope this clears things up for you

He could be doing a good job if he only asked a simple question and listened.

stat-wise, rivers is the #1 qb in the nfl right now

as far as being better than ben over the course of each one's career, it's no contest, ben's #1 , rivers is #2, brees is #3 and carson's below all 3 of them

just based on playoff performance, wins, and stats

people love to hate rivers because he "used to" act like a linebacker playing qb, but he's actually a very good qb.

edit: oh and brady and peyton are the real #1 and #2 until they retire, and you can even make a case for eli being better than ben rivers or brees , simply because eli is the current champ, and he's played solid (aside from crapping the bed at cleveland) since the last playoffs began....and this is a what have you done for me lately league.....

Problem with Eli is same for his brother. They both panic under pressure. That's how we beat the colts in 05. Peyton does not react well to pressure, Eli does not either.

Well you heard it on TV it MUST be true! How many times did people on TV say that the Pats were going to win the superbowl last year....You would think that since we are 0-7, got beat by the Steelers at home, our starting QB is out for the year AGAIN with an injury, YOUR RECEIVER broke the jaw of our first round draft pick Linebacker..ect, ect, ect. You seriously made a Ben vs. Carson thread? Smack is getting weak in the Burg.
