Default One down, two to go!

Tonight I watched my oldest get his high school diploma!

Very proud.

Congrats to him and all the grads of Oak Hills High School Class of 09.

Isn't that the greatest feeling in the world? I am proud of you for being proud of your son and being a great father. I wish my father had been more like you but he never even came to any of my graduations. Being there for your son says a lot about you. What are his plans now?

Thank you, he put in a lot of hard work, as did his mother and I. It does make me proud even more for the fact I did it the hard way. I dropped out of high school and got my ged. Not because I was a bad student, but I was too eager to get out on my own. So to see him stick with it and get that paper really is a big deal to me.

He is enlisting into the Air Force. And that makes us even more proud.

I was an Air Force officer so I am proud as well! Your son will not regret this decision and neither will your family.

I was an Air Force brat. Both of my parents were officers in the Air Force also. Both captains when they got out. I grew up at Minot AFB, North Dakota and at Wright Patt. I guess you could say I was a "fan in fairborn" myself. lol

He had talked about the Army, and I admit, I spent some time talking him into the Air Force instead. The decision was his of course, but when he compared the two, he agreed he liked the Air Force more.
