Default Quan Cosby love thread

I remember there being a thread giving Quan alot of flak & guff about how he wouldn't even make the team...
I'm happy he did because his returns were key vs the packers,He may not be the fastest but the guy is smart and lets the blocks set up...

He's definitely made me eat crow and I'm thankful for it. Making us forget about Ratliff dancing around.

I am prepared to say I was wrong. I know I wasn't alone in the bad mouthing of him, but I will say that I was a culprit.

The Hobson hype machine got ahold of him, and I felt the need to bring people back to Earth. Welp, the hype was right, and I was wrong.

He is always moving up field, and he reads blocks very fast and efficiently. It is easy to see why he made this team, and his contributions along with Huber will help this team win a lot more games then would have been won without them.

I wasn't sure whether Quan would make the team or not, but I sure like watching him return the ball. He's definately added some excitment to the Bengals return game. He makes it look like at any time he can bust a long one. I can't wait to see him take it to the house.

I was wondering why they don't let him return kickoffs, since he's doing a nice job with the punt returns.

What everyone is missing here is not Quan (so much), but the blocking has been outstanding. They're giving him room to make that first move and a lane to run in. Quan is a great returner, but without solid blocking, he'd be tackled for minimal gain.

Quan's the man. The JOB is yours to keep. Just keep up the good work!

I remember watching him sitting next to Bill Cosby during the draft, I was hoping the bengals would take him with one of their later picks because we would have a new fan in Bill Cosby.

Quan, if your reading; Thanks for the big day, lets do it again!!!!!

Way to go, bro. Way to go! An excellent point that's been missed. Props to our ST's. I like it!

While Quan has been fabulous, Caldwell has been anything but. He'g getting to the 20-21 yd line about every time. If he has tremendous speed, he's not showing any of it. I'd like to see him bnreak it to the outside when things are jammed up the middle and see if he can get it going. It's early though so let's see how he handles the Steelers

In hindsight it was so pathetic, its funny now.

Yeah much love for Cosby. I bet Bill is proud of his little buddy Quan. He's been playing solid football, and made a direct impact on the win Sunday. I think we scored with him as a college FA....a steal

ESPN showed his TD return in the pre-season, talked about his college career, & said~~"Well, he's taken a step down now!" ESPN reporters are the biggest Bengal haters on the planet!

you're right but it was still great to see, the special teams coach named a few of them, the whole game was a team effort including Odoms 5 sacks, it's a good day to be a bengal fan WHODEY!!!

This is one of the things I'm loving most about the start of this year. Quan, Odom, Benson, Rey, Chad, and the rest. They all look so good because the others around them are playing so well.

Ya Caldwell returns have been down I wonder if its because of leg injury from returning creeped up in his head since he has much larger roll as WR this year,

I didn't know if he would make the team or if a roster spot should be used solely for a punt returner. I’m glad we did thou he’s doing great. Between Quan and Huber we’re winning the field position game. Special teams as a whole are a big improvement over last year.

However, I still worry about our long snapper and kicker. Could Graham have kicked that field goal to win the game vs the Steeler’s like the Bears kicker did?

The Bengals hold a number of distinctions for the time frame of Mike Brown's ownership: It is the only team with three 9-game-or-more losing streaks. It also holds six of the twenty-five 0-6 starts (24%) and 4 of the 13 0-8 starts (31%) in that time.
