bengals Mock 5.0- Semi-Final Mock 2.0

This could be my final mock, will wait for any trades and free agent signings before finalizing.

2010 Draft:

1st round “No Brainer Pick”: WR Dez Bryant – if he is there, it is a no brainer.

1st round #21 – DT Jared Odrick – 6-5, 304, 5.10 penetrating tackle that changes the pocket, a disruptive force to opps. Can rotate in as DE too. Missing piece for our D-Line.

2nd round #54 – FS/CB Chris Cook - 6-2, 215, 4.46 Will be a great cover safety, previously a cornerback, will transition to free safety roll during 1st year. Crocker’s 2011 replacement. Will play ST and nickel and dime packages 1st year.

3rd round #84 – SS Chad Jones - 6-2.5, 222, 4.55 was 2-sport star for LSU, once he dedicates all his time to football, look out! Will be special teamer and split time with Roy and Chinny 1st year and transition to starter before end of 2nd year.

3rd round #96 – comp – RB Anthony Dixon – 6-1, 231, 4.65 – all-purpose back with great hands that can play all 3 downs. Runs down hill all day, will wear a defense out. Will need to rework body for pro game and learn Brat’s offense behind Benson for a year. Will be a red zone and 3rd down option 1st year.

4th round #120 - TE Anthony McCoy – 6-4.5, 250, 4.79 or TE Jimmy Graham - 6-6, 260, 4.55 or TE Tony Moeaki - 6-3, 245, 4.69 : Which ever of the 3 is available, all 3 can contribute via special teams, red zone and 3rd and long situations.

4th round #131 – comp – OT/G Zane Beadles – 6-4, 310, 5.25 Played guard his freshman year. High IQ! Adept at the zone blocking system. Someone to sit and learn behind Bobbie Williams for a year.

5th round #152 – LDE Clifton Geathers – 6-7, 299, 4.90 what a beast or bust ?

6th round #191 – WR/KR/PR Mike Williams – 6-2, 220, 4.55 - will have to make the team returning kickoffs and punts, then learn offense, with right attitude and dedication he could challenge year 2 for starting roll.

7th round #228 – SLB Stevenson Sylvester - 6-2, 235, 4.65 practice squad fodder, worth the risk this late in draft. Will have to make it on special teams.

He is a UTE.

LB Sylvester Stevenson (6-2 1/4, 232) kept his 40 time from the combine, had a 30.5 vertical jump, 8-9 broad jump, 4.56 short shuttle, 7.22 three-cone drill and 21 reps in the bench press. 33 1/4 inch arms, 101/2 inch hands, 4.65 forty.

Sylvester has been a highly productive player for the Utah defense over the past three seasons. He has a good frame to gain additional bulk and this should help his overall game at the next level. Sylvester is a high energy defender that has excellent instincts and is rarely out of position. He has some trouble taking on large lineman between the tackles and is best when covered up. Sylvester does a nice job maintaining leverage with proper angles and hand use to work through traffic. He has better range than his timed speed would indicate and gets to the pile often outside the hashes. Stevenson has excellent quickness, balance and agility in coverage but needs to improve his ability when in a blitz mode. Sylvester is an excellent collegiate football player that should eventually start in the NFL.

What's a "Ute"?

Sorry, I don't get to use that very often.

OK, I am fine with your opinion of this..... but I am not a fan of Dez "too cool for the rules" Bryant.... even if he is there, I would take Odrick, over him.... it also depends on who else is there..... Brian Price, Taylor Mays, Earl Thomas, even Jermaine Gresham would be better IMO.... so he isn't really a "no brainer" if he is still there at 21....

Dez could fall this far or further because he is a "no brainer".
