700 wlw callers

I kinda figured this was the case but to all the listeners out there - are most of the controversial callers faked?

like Richard from Indian Hill, Rob from Norwood or Nick?

Sorry, just curious - Richard is pretty over the top but funny as heck when he gets everyone riled up!

I've goggled about it but cant seem to find anything. I think a lot of radio stations do this to fill time?

I called Willy a few times, but most of the time I call in for sports talk. I haven't called in about a year though. The only topic I ever called Willy about was when he was ranting about the national debt.

I think you are right. When Gary Burbank retired, WLW lost the best thing it had going for it. Everyone in this market knew all Gary's characters, but he was an amazing one man show (with Doc and the other goofballs in the studio contributing little). I think it takes a village to replace that genius, and they probably have many people posing as all the folks you named and various other callers. Of course, several of their on air personalities aren't real people either, but I won't spoil the fun others have by naming names.

Richard from Indian Hills was on yesterday with Tracy Jones in studio .But as far as fake I'm not sure .

Don't forget sensible Don and Mrs.C , the other two regular callers .Sensible Don is a bus driver for Cincinnati Transit from what i understand.

Well, It's obvious to me that Nick, Rod from Norwood, and Richard from Indian Hill are the same person. They are fake, it's easy to get an hours worth of calls, sometimes more, from just one of their calls! Now Ms. C and Nan are two I can't figure out.
