Default Coaching the actual GAME

There is no doubt in my mind that Lewis is a great coach when it comes to motivating and keeping a handle on his players... HOWEVER, he has shown weakness in his GAME day coaching... Using TO's at the wrong time... Using Challenges at the wrong times.... How do you think Giggle's Game Time coaching will progress this year??

You are right, some of the in game coaching moves may have been a little suspect, but do you really think that he is unaware of those faux-pas? I really don't think so. In fact, I believe that he has probably heard about it a thousand times, and is already planning for better game management.

I hope he progresses in this area. He is a major liability when the game is close.

He has had some head scratchers in the time management department but it's nothing I'm overly worried about. I think like Sunset, that he has to be aware of some of the past errors and we hopefully won't see as many, if any at all. It's not rocket science and should be an easy fix, even that means another coach working with Marvin on the clock management during games. I don't think it's something that Marv can't just remedy on his own either, again, it's not that complicated and I'm sure he's very aware of what, when and where the mistakes were.

I've never supported the idea that some of the questionable challenges fall on Marvin, although it does need to be "fixed". That's on whoever is in the booth, not Marv. I'm know Brat and Hayes are up there, not sure who else. But they are the ones who should be telling coach "Yes, definite challenge" or "No, don't bother." If it's close they could say "it's close, your call" but they were some that weren't close at all and somehow that information wasn't relayed to him properly.

I think Marv is a great coach and I think he catches too much flack for his game management. There are some issues here and there but I think it gets overblown by the "Black Jesus" clowns.

He is a good planner and organizer if given a few days to work out the plan. Seems to preach execution and predictable behavior but simply does not adjust quickly and his judgment is questionable when the plan goes into crapper. Hey allot of people are that way but I prefer a coach who thought about what he didn't know and had a plan for that...
