Default How cold does it get in Cincy?

What is the coldest you have seen in Cincy? I know it is nothing like Green Bay weather but being that far south how cold can it get and do major snowstorms occur very often?

Never been to Cincy myself, but certainly you've heard about the 82 AFC Championship game? Its pretty widely accepted as the 2nd most famous/coldest game ever in the NFL. At least those NFL Network specials tell me so.

I know the actual air temp in GB was -1 at kickoff during the 2008 NFC championship game against the Giants and the temp that night was down to -14. -9 at game time is brutal though. How could anyone sit through that crap.

It gets cold as balls here. Snowstorms and everything. We're more north than we are south.

Winter weather here is typically high around 30 and lows around 20 during
winter. Jan/Feb there can be cold fronts that can take us 20 degrees cooler for periods
of time, maybe for a week or so...a few of these happen every year.

Snow usually is in the 2-4 inch range, with larger storms twice that. This year was..
not as typical... precipitation wise. We had snow on the ground for well over a month
straight due to a few storms in the 8-12 range. Lots of shoveling this year.

It was so cold a linebacker was called for pass interference when his breath froze around a tight end at the line of scrimmage.

The winter of 1977 had a day that dropped to around -25 degrees farenheit. That particular day fell in one of the longest stretches on record in Cincy where the daytime temp did not make it above freezing.

In hindsight, it was very foolish of me to do so, but that winter I walked from the Kentucky side of the Ohio River to the Ohio side and back on the river itself since it was completely frozen over. I was 12 years old at the time and thought that it would be a really cool thing to do.

My Pops was at that game and he said his beer was frozen before getting back to his seat.

Green Bay had 49.8 inches of snow (just looked it up last winter for the total. Cincy had 38.4 inches which Im very suprised about so only 11 inches more in GB! That isnt much of a difference.

I was at this game in 2000. It was so cold that I made my dad buy me like 6 hot chocolates and one of 'em spilled all over me and it felt sooo good. Also me and my cousins started a spitting game because the airborne spit would freeze up and make a ding noise on stuff, like windows and metal.
