Default Trouble in Indy?

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=txcoltsglenn&prov=st&type=lgns

Anyone seen this, could Manning be running for his life this year? Or does this have no effect on their dominance at all?

well its certainly not going to help.. sure as hell putting a lot of pressure on that rookie tackle they traded for (Ugoh?).. if i was a DC facing Indy early next year you'd teeing up people all over him. At the very least it means they may need to give the replacement more help from the TE or a chip blocking RB than GLenn had, that alone may limit their options at times

I have a feeling that if we underachieve this year we might be dealing with the same thing next off-season will Fat Burger Willie Anderson considering retirement.

What is it with guys who can't decide to retire until right before their team goes to camp? The Chiefs had this problem last year. If you're seriously contemplating retiring, how about making your decision before the draft? I hope the Bengals are never in this position.

I don't see how the Bengals will be running into this issue with the O-Line anytime soon, now that Rich B. is gone. Willie was just signed to a long term deal.
Glenn waited until right before training camp to start because he's smart. He has all the leverage in the world now. I think this move is more related to getting a better contract than actually retiring.
I don't think Willie would pull a move like that on the Bengals. We took care of him financially so I'm sure if he's thinking about retiring he'll let the FO know in time so we can find a replacement for him early...

Another sad thing is that had they known of this possibility earlier, they could've looked at Maryland's Jared Gaither as a possible replacement in the Supplemental. Unfortunately, this leaves them seeking a trade for a proven starter (good luck) or they have to look to their backup or a free agent in order to get this done. Although, I believe the Nebraska guy is still out there.
