Why's it so hard to just say, "we ****"?

Hypothetical...

Say the Bengals had a GM and a scouting department much like the Pittsburgh Pirates and still ******, what would you cry about then? Hell, from what I can see, those pathetic Pirates have exactly the type of set up that would probably make ya'll touch yourselves. Ya know what...they ****! I'm not making excuses....they just flat out blow.

That being said, I'm tired hearing you all say at the beginning of the year how great that team will be only to hear ya'll crying about M.B. and his ****ty decisions. Face it, he put what many of you wanted on the field and they still ****ing ****. You question that he didn't?

Well let's review then...

Franchise QB? Check.Since 2005, I heard on this very board that he was your savior. Joe still slobbers all over this guy. So yeah...CHECK!

Big Strong RB? Check. In general, this board rubbed one off over this signing. And when he destroyed Troy? One word....CHECK!

T.O./CHAD/T.E? All check. Most of you at one time or another has either told me how great Ocho is, what a beast T.O. is or that you finally got a tight end that could catch. Now it's the little white guy...what's his name...Jordan Shipley? CHA CHA CHA CHECK!

Aight..lets see...

I honestly think there was circle jerk over on the NFL Draft forum when Maualaga was taken in two. Not much complaining about Hall and Joseph then or now. Rivers...same deal...remember...the guys a beast...a beast I tell you. What about those steals ya'll got in Michael Johnson, Pat Sims, Andrew Whitworth, Jerome Simpson, Peko, Ndukwe, Coffman and Collins? Hey...I heard it,....I heard it all. Also heard how you guys signed Tank and Roy. Heard about Dhani, Geathers and even Frostee. Yep...I heard it all.

Face it, this is team you all wanted. You told me this as it was being built, you told me this last year and you told me this 10 weeks ago. This is the team YOU ALL WANTED.

Nope, we **** all around. We won with a mediocre team last year, now we are losing with one. Oline and Dline are pathetic, Carson doesn't make the same decisions as he used to, Brat doesn't call the passing game the same as he used to, Our LBers are vastly overrated, Benson is pretty good, not amazing. That doesn't sound like a good team to me. Sounds like a 2-7 team.

wtf? you guys actually think you can have everything don't you? look, even super bowl winning teams have areas that need work on. take the steelers, during each of our past 2 titles we had areas that fans thought needed major improvement. you bengal fans told us about them and we steeler fans complained about them as well. or do you all forget how bad our o-line was in 08? or how we had a qb making boneheaded mistakes in 05? that's right, we knew bettis was washed up, how our dbs couldn't cover. our d was getting old, our recievers weren't that good. we knew that tomlin couldn't coach and how our offensive coordinator was an imbecile.

bottom line, you all were happy entering the season. you knew all wasn't perfect but in general you were happy with the type of team m.b. gave you this year. remember... this was your year wasn't it? so quit blaming m.b. he gave you guys the players you all wanted. just so happens those players aren't no good. it just so happens that they just flat out ****.

I know. That's what I just said. And I do blame Mike Brown but not for the reasons you think. He obviously is try to bring in players to make us better. I mean look how much cash he has dished out on Odom and Bryant. Not to mention TO since he is gonna hit all of his incentives. He has taken the first step as far as spending money on FA's now, but he doesn't really have the ability to evaluate talent. So I applaud him for the effort and being willing to spend the money, now he just needs a good GM to help him evaluate who he needs to spend the money on.

No he didnt. He got FA from the bargin bin, again. Last year, there were a quite a few OL I wanted (Balt and Pitt both had a FA OL i believe) but instead got Coles cuz he was cheaper than Housh. Then this year I wanted Boldin, but got the amazing Bryant cuz he was cheaper too. Then when it was proved that Bryant was damaged goods, he goes and gets a WR that no one else in the team wanted (hes producing, but doesnt change the fact he came from the 99¢ Free Agency Store).

so what you are saying is this...

mb improved your team enough to lead most of to believe that this was gonna be the bengals year. you said it yourself. mb improved your biggest weakness (passing game) through free agency and the draft. so where's the argument here? mb gave you guys what you wanted right?

so why now is he blamed for not having a gm or a proper scouting department? you were all happy the team he gave you last year and you were certainly excited with what he gave you entering this season. so why are you all blaming him now?
