Default lets here it.

Like I said before Cam Newton will be a first round talent in the NFL. most dont agree.

After todays game against Bama, he faced a very good team. (even though he already dominated the best defense in LSU). so where is the cam haters at now. come on im sure you can make something up.

He's not an NFL QB plain and simple. Neither is Tebow but he got picked so anything is possible. Best case scenario for Newton he becomes Vick 2.0 good but never great.

It will probably take about 3 years before he has any idea how to read a NFL defense. If anyone thinks he can come in and play right away then they are out of their mind.

Where are the Cam haters?

Here's a Cam realist:

He is not ready for a pro-style offense. He throws a nice ball, but he doesn't have to make the same reads as he will in a pro offense.

He doesn't take snaps under center and drop back.

Sorry, but put him on an NFL field and he's not going to be able to pick people apart from the pocket.

He's going to take a long while to develop. He does have sick physical skills but mentally has a long way. What ever team takes him will need a real strong running game like Minnesota.

Newton will get picked no doubt about it. That however does not mean that his skills are going to translate into the NFL game. Not sure what your point is. Alex Smith was a 1st RD QB.....so what does that mean?

I hadn't seen Cam play until the Alabama game (don't watch many college football games). But have to say that he impressed me, made nice throws and can also move. I think the tendency is to say that any running QB won't make it in the NFL. But as long as they can throw, and Cam seems like he could do that (might take a little work, but any QB would). Won't be surprised if he turns out to be a top pro QB in a couple of years.

My Vince Young prediction was way off.

Young - Bad stats, wins games

Newton - Good stats, loses games

If I was a Panther fan I would definitely be optimistic for the future though.

Cam was the first overall pick because of the color of his skin and his and Warren Moons whinings.

I don't care what Cam the Scam looks like now.....I'd still rather have Dalton!

How's that for a bold statement?
