Default Stop bashing carson now

this is a man who you never here anything about in the offseason because he doesnt like media unless he has to. he is a very cool and great guy who takes blame everytime things go wrong, he scapegoats noone. he is not a bad QB, he is not past his prime. he just needs a different team that actually wants to win. every team has changed things that needed to be changed, everyone but the bungals. im sure you all heard the nasty things going on with his out side life. carson is a great

I suppose its all Brats fault and Carson played great this season? Am getting tired of this. Carson asked for TO. We gave him TO. He wanted weapons and we drafted them. Every season I look and read the excuses for Palmer. This year there were not any. Most agreed before the season. Then the excuses began. Its all Brats fault! None of it has to do with our top paid QB not stepping up his game. Is Brat 100% to blame? Dont be morons. CP played bad and made awful decisions. Some of that can be spread around but no one can sit here and tell me Carson doesnt deserve some if not a good portion of the blame.

Amen brother.

I am proud of Carson for saying enough is enough.

Carson Palmer would have won a Super Bowl on just about any other team in the NFL if fate had not placed him in Cincinnati.

He came to Cincinnati with a great attitude and in good faith and the organization has not kept the faith with him.

There is plenty of blame to go around! But facts are facts. After a 4-11 season, we now have:
1. The same coach

2. Apparently the same OC

3. No Benson if #2 is right

4. No Chad (could be ok with this, still on fence)

5. No TO (okay never that attached but he did make a couple of good plays but we are still 4-11 so who cares?)

6 The same moron owner acting as GM

7. And now we don't even have a QB

8. I just wtched the Steelers make it to another Superbowl!

Anyone want to play quarters?

who is on a terrible team because of the owner, who only hires cheap and convienient people because who would want to come here anyway. carson deserves to be on a great team. i dont know if he wants to be traded because of brat still being here, but that is what it sounds like. he is being held back by a terrible OC and every one knows it.

do you people think whatever change does happen, big or small, that it will help this team. LOOK AT THE LAST 20 YEARS MY FRIENDS! the browns have been through 2 coaches already and we still have lewis, because no coach would want to come here and be a puppet to brown. he doesnt care about the team, the fans or even the city and the fact that nothing has changed for this team and players demanding trades just proves it. HE WONT CHANGE THE TEAM AND HE WONT CHANGE HIMSELF. CARSON HAS BEEN PLAYING WITH ONE HAND BEHIND HIS BACK SINCE HE HAS GOTTEN HERE, i want him to be the amazing QB that he was in college and if he want to go somewhere else to to it, then i will root for him all the way. IT IS NOT HIS FAULT, ITS BAD COACHES NOT BAD PLAYERS. AND THE PEOPLE DOING THAT STUFF TO HIM AT HIS HOME AND TO HIS WIFE AND WHAT EVER, THAT IS JUST PATHETIC!

Were you proud of Chad when he did the same thing?

No it would be absolutely rediculous to say he doesn't deserve some of the blame. But there are people who try to pin it ALL on him. I don't care how this whole mess turns out I'll back Carson no matter what team he's on.

Of course Carson deserves blame for this bad season, and he'd be the first to admit that.

But you know who never admits blame? Bob Bratkowski. And now he's apparently coming back, which means no Carson or Benson (and that could just be the tip of the iceberg)

We are screwed.

I dont think anyone blames it ALL on Carson. If they do they are as dumb as the people blaming it ALL on Brat.

I'm okay with Carson leaving if he's done with MB. Heck been considering doing it myself and I have been here longer than him...30 years! But if he's going to whine about the fans who complained about his lackluster performance I am disapointed. These guys can make a couple of good plays and we declare them superstars. They have had it pretty easy in Ohio when it comes to fans. MB: that's a whole different story!

Dude! WE're not gonna have a team next year. at all. We're gonna buy a CFL team and hope that cuts it.

When did Carson whine about the fans? The only time he said anything about the fans was when he told Hobson people threw garbage on his lawn and said things to his wife and children about him.

Which is complete awful behavior. But I dont think thats the main cause. Though people messing with my family would not help the situation.

But I am pretty sure he did several times about the booing at home.

If Chad would have had the ***** to hang in there as long as CP & keep his mouth shut, then I would have to say...Yes.
We weren't that far removed from having a really good team when Chad did it.

Did some fool scatter garbage all over Chad's yard???

I don't blame Carson at all for wanting out of Cinci. Chad was just being the drama queen that he is.

Interesting opinion. Chad hung in there for a LONG time before he said anything about the team and wanting out.

Agreed, I may not have liked Palmers play as of late but I have no doubt that he is a great guy and his family doesnt deserve that BS.

Chad's been here since 01. He spoke out in 07. That's 7 years. Carson spoke out after 8. Is 8 the magic number? I'm not defending Chad who complained because he wanted changes and more money but it's about the same amount of time he kept quiet.

EDIT: Nevermind about the money part I was wrong

I said "if he's going to whine " Noone should have thrown trash in his yard or say things to his family. Obviously, that was some idiots. However, Hobson's article also eluded to the fact he had been heckled by the fans and media. That's just American football.

And if you go by games played Chad "Hung In There" much longer than CP9.

And where is everybody getting this "Chad spoke out because he wanted more money" slant? Chad said he wanted to play for a winner. Can anybody link where he said he wanted more money. And for all we know CP9 could be letting this "slip out" because he was approached about a pay cut.
